Could you guys make the videos available in Windows Media format too? I get an error message with Quicktime saying I'm missing teh plug-in and its not available to me  :(  And DivX doesnt work either  :(  I am asking the people who make those videos to make them available in Windows Media format as well as QuickTime

They should work in WMP already, just upgrade and it played fine for me in Media Player 9.0 after reformatting..

think he means the embedded videos.

try downloading the latest quicktime installer from http://www.apple.com/quicktime/download/ and reinstalling completely with that. it should work after that.

Ugh... but it's sort of insulting to the poster's intellegence. You push too hard, and it's human nature to push back. People get WAY too pushy and forceful with Firefox, and that's exactly why I AVOIDED it for so long. It wasn't till neruozone's post that somebody talked to me seriously.

For long, I used Netscape 7 while everybody talked about Firefox.

Then, my laptop died so I had to reformat it.

Instead of downloading Netscape 7, I downloaded Firefox, because I thought "Okay, everybody says it's so good, it has to have SOMETHING, I'll try it out!"

Ever since then, I've loved it, and tried to get everyone that I knew that didn't use it start using it.

Some people might come to the same conclusion as I did and that's why we push it.

But you're pushing it the wrong way. You (plural you throught the entire paragraph) sound like a raving pack of lunatics, trying to "fight the power" or something. You're too caught up in sloganeering and propaganda. I often, from the statements, tend to get the feeling that you're only promoting Firefox because it's "cool" to hate Microsft products, not because you actually like the product. From my point of view, it ends up coming off as patronizing and rude.

If Firefox is as good as you think it is, you shouldn't have to bully other people into using it.

It's like religion and OS's... you really shouldn't argue about it because no one will win.

Well, that's exactly what my sig's for. :P It saves me the trouble of getting myself worked up on bullying people to use the 'Fox. :D

I even tried OPENING it and saying to play a movie in a URL, and it made my system crash! I can get videos from any part of the site BUT the Metroid Prime 2 section

Shocked OH!  Then you need DivX from [url]www.divx.com[/url].  All of the vids besides those in the Echoes section are MPEG or MPEG-4, which are supported by QuickTime.  The vids you cannot see have the extension .avi, correct?  You can either download them and play them with VLC ([url]www.VideoLAN.org[/url]) or get DivX.  And if you plan to use it for longer than the trial period, get the free version.

Please don't break the rules, leave this to the Forum Management, GA. I PMed him about it around the 20th december, unfortunately I had to clear my out/in-box because it got too large, but he said that he would remove them (it's actually 4 avatars that exceeds the maximum allowed size).

I went into a small argument with alpha (my host owner) and for a while I couldn't access my FTP after I deleted the Master Chief Dance avatar. I've already solved it with him, and taken care of the matter, so I humbly apologize for the troubles caused. :)

And TRH, is that good ole badass Sasuke in your avatar/one of your avies? :D

If anyone's having problems play a certain kind of movie file, just use VLC player, it automatically plays anything.
