My desk is...welll...SUPA MESSY!!! I'll TRY to get a pic later.
I only use my laptop at home lately, my bf having taken over my desktops for some other arcane use.  So rather than post a picture of my dusty desk which I haven't used for anything other than a nightstand in months, here's one of our coffee table, on which my laptop often rests when there's space and I'm not using it.  The side of the laptop, with this thread open on it, is visible to the left.  Sorry about the brightness -- stupid flash.

For the disturbingly curious, there's a much bigger version here.

What's that shaker doing there?
Armor Guardian
What's Gran Turismo 4 doing on the N64?
PAGE BREAKER
Ready and willing.

Couldn't get it all in one shot.

Jeez, that's a neatly-kept desktop.

That is Majora's Mask.
*neatness of yoshi's desktop blinds him*

He meant the GT game case on top of the system, not what's in the N64.

Because it is disorganized, maybe? yea.
The salt shaker is there because last night I was using it on my dinner while my bf played FFV or GT4 or whatever it was at the time.  The GT4 case is on the N64 because that's where it ended up...there's no particular reason for it not to be there.  Same reason Tales of Phantasia is on the IIDX controller.

I have to say that of possible questions about the items on the coffee table those weren't what I was expecting.  The function of the ancient white laptop, perhaps, or why there are two PS2s.

Is that 64M thing a Translater?
Um, in the sense that it allows us to  play translated versions of SFC games, yeah.  It's a copier, with a built-in floppy drive and parallel port, and we upload translated roms to it.  That's what the white laptop is for, since for some reason it wasn't liking the parallel port zipdrive we used the last time we hauled it out.  The cart itself isn't required for use, but for whatever reason FFV doesn't like the copier's save system so we save that onto the original cart.

Okay, then, what's FFVII doing to the left of FFVIII? And is that FFX to the right of both of them?

And omg, that SNES looks horrible... I'm glad I'm in europe for the SNES only.
I('d) like to watch (some MP3 runs)
Many people organize their cd's/music soundtracks (which those are)/games from left to right.  I know I do.

[bias]Pff @ translated roms.[/bias]

Someday I'll update my freak pics.

Lol, I thought everyone organizes their games horizontally organizes them like that. Maybe not.
Me, I stack my vertically in the order I bought them, for GameCube/PS2 games/Dreamcast games, and I stack my N64/SNES/NES games behind each other, in the order I bought them.
"I need a bloody camera that actually works."
"But we have a digital one that works."
"We do? Oh, right, we do."
I'll see if I can get a pic of my real desktop in a few hours. That'll give you all plenty of time to tell me wether or not you want a big light-reflex from the window that's on the exact opposite side of my room.
Sure, by then the sun'll be down, but... Nyah.

Please don't take my totally random/odd questions all that seriously...

Btw, is "bloody" considered a curse word? Because I can say brain surgeon or something instead then. I need a brain surgeon camera...
red chamber dream
"Bloody" is not considered a curse on these forums (is it anywhere?).
I'll be back. Maybe...
I've met a few people who consider it such. But I doubt many of them could be found on a forum.

I have too many game boxes.  >.<
Here's my old desktop, but whatever. :P

Okay, I finally found the time to take some pictures. I think I went a little camera-happy, taking pictures of most every spot in this cramped little room, but whatever. (I would have liked to've thumbnail all these pics, but ImageShack isn't working for me atm. I used Photobucket instead).

The desk I'm at now:

Nice messy desk Ark.
