Hmm! Oh! I think I know!

That Speed Booster thing when your in Morph Ball and before it shoots you up it glows green. Too be more specific and more sense... The glow when you shoot out of the "Ball Booster" in Kraid.

Or, the glow when you activate the Zip-Line?

Those are my best guesses.
