Is anyone interested in PC games. Come on, how can you not want to play games like Rome : Total War, Farcry, Half-life 2 and Doom 3 or are ye all just into gamecube. Oh I just got my new computer which kicks ass and so I go back to Morrowind.

Dunno about you but I gave up on Half-Life 2 a long time ago. Then Steam came along and yeah, no more interest. Valve is turning into Microsoft of the gaming community.

Well, I'm not sure about any of you, but I like both PC and Console pretty equal. Each has its own games that hook me: For example, (I hope nobody gets the wrong idea from this... Laughing

) right now I've been playing...

The Sims 2!

Hey, it's a fun game (At least for me anyway...)

... Runs away in fear before somebody responds to him...

Edit: I say that cause I sort of get the feeling that you guys don't approve of the Sims series for SOME reason

It wasn't really anything off the wall, too, just what some random child would do with the Sims, artfully written into a narritive.

Notice how I said the Sims... from the review, it sounds like other than the free camera, it has less improvements than an expansion pack. Of course, the review wasn't really supposed to be a true review, but still... the only thing that interested me was the aspirations, but the only aspiration I heard about was "get job X".

I had a crappy computer for such a long time, I'm pretty much always going to be a console whore. CS was fun before 1.6 anyway.

I still play my PC games.

I play CS/CSZ every day. That's about it. I don't want a kickass gaming-pc, I have an Xbox, PS2, GCN, SNES...etc.

Why would I want another?

I suppose if 1.3 came back it would be awesome again. Now it's just all graphics and stuff going over to source now, and hl2 coming out and like every hl mod going source. I don't think graphics are everything, nor can they make something better all the time. Sure it's nice eye candy, and what not. But Super Metroid is still probably one of, if not the best game in the entire series. And it has terrible graphics, well in regards to what we have now a days. Either by reverting back to what I know and like, or just quit it. With cs source, sure it's gonna be amazing graphics, and really nice, and bugs are going to be fixed. But I am going to be on one extreme or the other. I'm going to either hate it, or love it. I won't love it because it looks amazing, no. I will love it because it will be the same game, with improvements that make it worth while to play and enjoy for some time. But if I hate it, I'll just revert back to good old 1.6, well.. sure it's been changed with the engine, and all the patches, which have sucked. But after awhile, you get used to it, and adjust, and continue on with it. Just like if 1.6 dies, and source is the new standard.. I'll hate it fully for awhile, but then adjust and start to play, getting used to it and continue on. :o But it still won't be 1.6, and won't be as good as it was. Nor will 1.6 be as good as 1.5 or 1.3 at all. bleh, I hope 1.6 still stays around, and at the very least, as a competitive e-sport for a little while longer. But if source takes over hmm.. I guess I'll have to play that now. See I'm already pretty annoyed at the fact that I can't watch any WCG games live at all, because now hltv is done through and on CS:CZ which sucks.. and it's a big annoyance.. something I don't like, but now if I wanna follow things as I have, I will have to go buy CZ and etc.. BLEH BLEH BLEH.. In the end, I will just have to deal with, and go with the flow, or simply quit and move on. But of course with console games you can still play what you really love and enjoy, just plug it in to your tv and play away. The trouble with online games, is that some, like on steam and blizzard can be changed and patched for the better, or for the worse easily and at any time. And you can't really do anything about it. Either play, or quit if you don't like it. :( They can't do that to console games though so much. Because you can keep playing your nintendo, or super nes any time you want. Bleh, but online games are great because of multiplayer aspects so.. :/ Oh wellz.. T_T ROFL, dunno why I wrote so much, felt like it, k lol. :p 1.3 > 1.6 > CS:SOURCE ;p then of course there is always wc3 so w/e.. until sc2 comes out.. someday.. lol. :p

I mean if you look at it from the perspective I have, that cs and wc3 and such are an e-sport played by pro gamers. Then it would be like someone telling pro football playes they are going to change the game every season. Like now your field goals will be 20 points instead of 3.. it's just stupid and would probably never happen.. well then why should they change an e-sport every friggin 3 months and affect the pro gamers of that game.. and make them have to put up with it.. good or bad.. :/ I dunno, doesn't seem fair.. :| But that's just my view on it, so..

Eh, I dunno. I started during 1.4, mainly because I heard they took out bunny hopping. I don't like bunnyhopping.

You can still bunnyhop, it's easy. I do it all the time lol. :P erm.. what they did from 1.3 to 1.4 was made it so when you jump you would slow down.. in 1.3 you could jump forever and basically never lose speed ever.. except from hitting like a wall or someone else etc. Of course it made Bunnyhopping very easy. Now you have to know how to do it and keep it going, it takes a bit of practice and skill to do it, but it's fun. :p When you go like across the map doing it lol. :p I bunny hop so awpers miss me sometimes, funny. :p

There's more but I can't remember because I haven't played them in awhile.

The Sims used to be very good, but it got boring, especially with the Sims 2. The camera angles are terrible, and it's nothing very new.

Crimsonland is the third best PC game ever. Eight best game ever made, in my opinion...

I just got this game a few weeks ago. I'm up to the last level of Hardcore Quest mode. Ion Cannon + Ion Gun Master + Ammo Maniac + Telekinesis = Win.

I'm spending 1800 on a gaming quality PC, i highly doubt that i'll be at a loss of games to play. Half Life 2 apparently owns every single thing ever made from the few officail reviews out, which is a good thing to be hearing. There are just some games that are far far better on PC than they will ever be cfor console (mainly RTS or god games, and certain FPS *I want ut 2004!!* but, overall, i just really love online gaming to the point that i'm spending more money on a computer than i did on a car.

1800 seems alot to spend on a computer. Mine was around €1200 at 3.0Ghz which will be overclocked soon to around 3.6Ghz. I also have a
9800pro soft moded to a XT.

My money, my choice on where to spend it, I know its a lot, this thing is getting me through college, thats why i'm spending a lot more money going 939-pin among other "should be able to upgrade for the next 5 years" parts.

Overall, i'm just buying every single part for this thing, i would love to save money and just grab a 6600GT or a X700pro, but, there currently aren't any 939-pin motherboards that have PCI-Express, so my current plans revolve around the 6800GT , which i really don't feel like buying.

I'm also getting a decent amount of extra's, 5.1 speakers, incredibly nice sound card, a western digital raptor HD....
