This is my rendition of one of the Samus drawings found within the art galleries of Metroid Prime. I tried to make her look a little more feminine but I think the final product looks too much like the original.
its probably the top-back part of the head that's messing my perspective up, it's not that easy to differ black from black :P
Yeah it wasn't gonna be colored black in any areas (except for the shoulder and hip joints) until I screwed up in the inking process. I accidently inked a pencil line that needed to be erased.
I'm probably gonna start doing some original art soon. I did this one to kind of get the "feel" of drawing samus suit.
If you have Photoshop, I highly recommend you use it for inking instead of normal inking (unless you're thinking of traditionally coloring the picture). Making temporary paths and stroking them with the Pen Tool allows for incredibly good inkings; and for areas where black coloring is needed, a layer mask covering the area with black works wonders. ^_^

Unfortunately, I don't have photoshop. Hopefully I'll get a copy sometime this year, and I'll definitely take your advice once that option becomes available.
Something looks a little weird where her shin plate curves into her right boot. I don't know, mayeb it's the way the lines are curved...it looks okay, but a little off maybe.
