I have spent five metric arrows of drool.

I say

But my art teacher would say

"Black lines are bad. They should not be used unless indicating a shadow in a crack of some sort. Outlining characters is not the proper technique."

I didn't neccessarily outline them, I would just outline a specific part or shape in em.
