I was wondering where I may find a copy of the soundtracks to each game. I really wanted to obtain Super Metroid, and Metroid Prime especially. I think if you had a section on the website with the individual tracks up for grabs, that'd be groovy man. I'm not sure how legit that is, but I guess it'd probably take up a whole lot of server space and bandwidth as well. It's up to you, but I just want to download the sountracks, haha!

Downloading the Prime soundtrack is illegal, so don't link to it. I think that downloading Super's is fine, because there is no official version. You can just go to the store and buy the MP soundtrack if you want, though.
There's an official SM soundtrack, but it's rare and enormously expensive.  Don't think I've ever seen it go for < $200.  Not sure why that's kept me from buying it since I paid a lot more than that for an orchestra concert CD with one SM arranged track on it, but it has.  There are also some SM tracks on the domestic Nintendo Play It Loud! CD, but I don't know that I recommend that; I know nothing at all about sound quality and stuff but some parts don't come through well at all.  And I'm sure there are original Metroid tracks on the 20th Anniversary Famicom soundtrack, but I don't own that one and don't remember the tracklist.

Not that anyone asked, of course; just thought I should toss that in there if we're distinguishing games with official STs from those without.

Almost forgot: the Prime and Fusion soundtracks come together.

Ah, didn't know that. And yes, I appreciate when you say stuff like that, because it's good to know.
Anyway, I still don't see a problem with linking to downloads of SM when the offical ST is so hard to come by. But Prime's soundtrack should be included under warez in my book.
where miight i purchase such a soundtrack? both of them together, what a sweet deal.

requiem for a chanoire post. ;P

edit: yes, the official super metroid soundtrack ("sound in motion") is garbage. the tracks available at tph are vastly superior, and, as far as i know, represent the best quality currently available.
