Metroid 2002's bandwidth problems solved (for now)?

i've implemented a daily schedule for speed runs as follows:

sunday: metroid prime
monday: metroid
tuesday: return of samus
wednesday: super metroid
thursday: metroid fusion
friday: metroid zero mission
saturday: metroid prime

to download runs from the game that you want, simply come to metroid 2002 that day!

Woo! Now I can FINALLY watch the nbmb :P
Also, are you going to keep the vmus for Sess's run going all the time, or just the alotted time? (I thought it might be a special case with the VMU's, since they are so small)

all of sess's run in every format will always be available unless it becomes to much to bear.

Yeah... that's not a good thing. Having this long term isn't a terrific option by a long shot. Of course, bandwith doesn't grow on trees...

Well...this kinda sucks for me. The only computer good for downloading I only have access to on the weekends. So that does mean I can still download Metroid Prime stuff but...I'm screwed for the rest. Unless...what files are on SDA? I can download any on the weekend I suppose...I know that the Metroid 2 one is, any others?

go ahead and go to the pages you want to download things from. there will be an sda link down at the bottom of said pages if that particular run is available there.

as for your greater problem, send me an email at nate@metroid2002.com and i should be able to help you get what you want if it's not on sda.

just wondering, why are you so opposed to the bit torrent idea? With a few dedicated seeds, it would save a TON of bandwith.

i never said i was opposed to this idea. it simply cannot become the primary means of distribution. hop to it!

How about page updates (for specific games)? Will you hold back fresh updates of the main pages for each game until the correct day or will they still come as random as before? :)

when appropriate, i may do that, yes, but i really don't even have the time right now to be ruled by my own game schedule. :/ so yeah, you may see things (like scarlet's new 100% hard in zm) that are "available" days before they actually are.
