I've got a seperate-battery-powered light. Takes one AAA, is intensity-controllable, and has a switch that has, in addition to ON and OFF positions, has an AUTO that will automatically turn the light on when the environmental light gets dimmer. Much more useful than the SP's "look at me, I reduce your battery life which must be recharged at a wall outlet by 1/3!" Not anything personal, but I think that the disadvantages of the SP outweigh the advantages.
