Sorry, I failed to notice that my sig was 1 pixel over the limit.  It has been fixed.

Also mentioned in the thread is that you should limit your text if your image is taking up the max height ... so how about making your claim to be faster than he fastest super metroid speed run on one line.

Hahah, buuuuuurn.
Haha, yes, Generations of Shame have now descended upon my bloodline.

Well if you're gonna make a claim like that, you'd probably best back it up with proof, else you'll be looked upon mighty lowly around these parts.
Well, I've posted on samus.co.uk regarding it, and here's what it boils down to:  I did it, I didn't record it, and even if I had recorded it I did it on Emulator so according to the rules (here at least) it wouldn't be submissable.  I did not use slowdown or savestates (other than one before landing on Ceres, and one after boarding Samus' ship, both before and after the player portion of the game).  I have a screenshot of the completed time display, but that could easily be faked, and it doesn't contribute evidence as to whether or not I did in fact use savestates or slowdown.  So all I've really got is my word, and that doesn't go very far.  I'm still quite proud of having done it, so I display it.  If people disbelieve it, then I really can't blame them, but that doesn't much matter to me.
your credibility rises greatly by making coherent, non-psychotic statements like that. i suggest you obtain a copy of super metroid so you can show the world who you are, because you obviously have talent.
I have a copy of the game on cartridge, but I don't have a working SNES at the moment.  Once I acquire one, I'll work toward readjusting from keyboard to controller, then attempt repeating (and recording) the run.
very glad to hear that. i wish i could buy you a super nintendo so you could start tomorrow ...

*sigh* maybe someday. hopefully i'll have the submitting speed runs faq up here soon so you can read about the best way to record, etc.
Thanks very much.  I don't have much history in recording, so I'm not sure what the best means possible are, and any info at all would be quite helpful.
iirc, hooking a VCR up between your SNES and TV and recording the run on tape will work quite splendidly.
yeah, my faq will cover everything you need to know. i hope to have it out by the end of the week.
