forgot one, shadow of the beast for genesis, that is a cult-classic even though it's a port.

Pretty much every game in the Gaia trilogy should be included in that list.

why?
It's the most conspicuously glitchy SNES game I've ever played. It's also grindy as fuck.
I mean I like it, but Chrono Trigger and Final Fantasy VI are much better games.

Not really. From IV to IX, I'd say only VIII was the only really different one of the bunch.

speaking of which, i wish the tales series would vary the gameplay more
