I have a friend who is a very talented artist. We always thought he would be some highly paid cartoonist, but he took some wicked acid and now paints landscapes in his dad's basement.

yeah i think it's just that when they do get attention, people don't realize they're independent movies. stuff like reservoir dogs or saw.

SwaetShirt was another really awesome artist, but he left the pony fandom to do his own artsy stuff. I always loved what he did with color
