first guess was Crash, but I think there was nothing Crash related on PS3. Second guess Jack & Dexter but that wasn't on PS1.

ps1 had wipeout 1,2 and 3, ps2 had fusion I believe, ps3 had wipeout HD which made me seasick, and I believe there is now some remastered collection on the ps4

the PSP had a wipeout game also I'm fairly sure

there was definitely a PC version of the first game, I think there might have been something on the dreamcast as well? but it's sony's intellectual property as far as I know

I'm not 100% sure sony actually owned psygnosis when wipeout 1 was done, got a feeling they might have bought them afterwards, so maybe it doesn't quite count as first party

Didn't they buy all their first party studios? Maybe aside from "japan studio"

rotfl @hot shots golf. i thought people gave up on those games because i've never seen one that was made past the 90s
maybe mario golf on gba in early 2000, but that's it

if they don't own the studio, it's by definition not first party

studios with contracts to only develop for one console are second party. like what insomniac used to be

ryu yeah apparently hot shots has always been a popular series, though mostly in japan i think. i've heard those games are actually super fun, never played one though

I had a chance to buy a nes classic once. saw a bunch of them in a shop when I was out for something else. didn't do it because i wasn't sure if the european model plays games properly...

Looks like Yooka got a huge update tweaking and redesigning lots of stuff. Does anyone still care though? Did they have some Kickstarter deadline or why didn't they just delay the release to get better reviews?

i have no idea. well, i have a few guesses - spring releases probably see better sales than summer games, and they would get totally buried in fall.

also, i think they may have been afraid of mario odyssey, which is looking like the true successor to banjo-kazooie

i'll play yooka-laylee again though. not any time soon, but i do want to try it again after all the tweaks. maybe it'll feel like a new experience.

The patch also made the little secret robot say 75% loaded instead of 50%, so there'll probably be some new content/DLC thing. Will definitely wait for that before I touch it again.

i regret sleeping on xenoblade chronicles x for so long. i'm a few hours in and already loving it. it's similar to the first game but it has a different futuristic vibe that i like
