I'm learning how to use a beat program that i've gotten not to long ago, I'd made this just for practice. Whenever I finish i'll upload the rest.

how does it sound so far?

I couldn't find the right sounds for it but it sounds ok to me.

Thanks , i'll keep working on it.
I quite like it. I take it you're going to extend it past 21 seconds?
Thank you, yeah i'm gonna extend it. It's going take awhile to finish, finding the right sounds on the program gets stressful at times.
I've downloaded it twice and it only plays for like 4 or 5 seconds...  But from what I can tell...  Probably not my cup o' tea.  Confused  [/personal opinion]

If you've ever heard of OCRemix - you might check out it's community/forum for some great advice and suggestions on music creating programs and whatever.  aiwebs_020

Edit: I hope this is okay.

You should right click to see if you have the exact size cause its plays for about 20 - 21 secs, also thanks the site will be very helpful.

Here's the remix, i should of added alittle bit more to it. Enjoy!

*go near the bottom of the page to download the remix*

tell me what do you think?

edit: It was a part that bothered me, so i fixed it and it sounds much better. Youtube won't let me change the sound on my clip so i've uploaded the fix version here. (my latest post)
This may sound overly critical, especially on something which is brilliant compared to other 'remixes' out there, but there's too much of a marching feel to the music, if you understand what I mean. Are you familiar with the Prime 2 mix of that track (called 'Hunters')? I really like the frantic nature that has, but that's just me.

Still, a superb job, and keep at it.
Many thanks, also I understand what you mean about it. I've tried to make it sound like a dance remix, but I guess it didn't turn out the way I wanted.

I've never heard of them, I also tried to listen to their music but I need to have a membership on some site they uploaded their music on to download it.
As a dance mix, I think the drum timbres need a bit of an overhaul, but the marching feel I mentioned lends itself well to dance music.

Thanks for the advice grin new.

I'd changed it so the video and the downloads above aren't the original anymore.

Also I have changed the drum(still plays the same way though) to make it sound more like a dance mix.

Enjoy!
im sorry its just horrible IMO
It's my first time attempting to make a remix. at least let me know what I should work on so i'll improve? Confused
remake the beginning part, because the rhythm doesn't mix well.
And remake the drums(or at least remove the shingle)
Thanks for the advice, but I decided to remake it one last time.

I didn't want to rely on the original music too much so I've completely changed how it sounds. It still sounds just like the original(not my old remix), but with less use of instruments. This is just another practice mix, but its finished.

Any type of advice and criticism is always welcome.

How does it sound? I'd tried my best to balance the sounds so it won't sound so jumpy like my old remix.

Enjoy!

Waaaaay too different
I could only see that this is a remix of the Brinstar theme because I was listening out for the themes (which were not obviously apparent, the first time listening). The melodies you have added yourself just sound wrong. However, I thought the moody, atmospheric intro was very well done, made me think of some of the Sound IN Action mixes.

Keep at it, and you might create something really special.
Super Secret Area - Dead Ahead!
It started off well, but then ended up sounding like something from one of the Pokemon slot machines.
Thanks for the advice, but I made it sound different because I'd mixed green brinstar and castlevania styles together. I guess that didn't seem to work out the way I wanted either.  laugh new

I know that this is a little off topic, but I don't want to make another topic about a remix so i'm going to put different ones on this topic. If a admin or a mod read this, please change the name to: "Clouds Mix" or "Game Remixes" so anyone could put their mixes on this topic.

Here's another one.

This one was very easy to do. I'm not really sure, but I may have messed up on a few parts.
I did this when I felt under the weather.  Razz

Enjoy!

you know what? that actually sounds really good.

you should stick with ambient sounds, because your really good at it.

beasts and rhythms on the other hand, listen to some hard trance or something to get an idea for that style.

Ah, much better.  It could be the base or a prelude to something more...  musical.  As in; something more recognizable.  If I had just heard it without knowing what it was...  I wouldn't have known at all what it was for or related to.  But I do hear how it's familiar with/to Crateria just after you land...  and go exploring.  What lurks in those dark caves?  *shivers*

That is very good.
Thanks everyone, when I get more time i'll make more remixes. grin new

My brother asked me to do kraid's theme. I didn't remix it though, but it'll be uploaded here.

It might don't sound right, but I think it sounds ok.
