i know it wasnt released in U.S. and i am highly against illegal downloading but i had to get this rom. it is awesome and harder than earthbound.
and you can go to magicant whenever you want.instead of gathering sanctuaries you gather parts to a song and instead of praying to beat gigyas you sing the song to beat gigye.
Thread title:
The title said "earthlound" and I made fun of it. =( I am not a big fan of Earthbound, and I am a lesser fan or ROMs, so we'll just leave it at that. >_>
Miyamoto has said every now and then that Mother 3 will be seen on the GBA.
What luck, there's french fry stuck in my beard.
Why are they so reluctant to release another one?  Mother/Earthbound is easily one of the most creative game series out there.

It doesn't look like that's going to happen, but it sure as hell would be awesome if it did.

And i deleted it because it was a big mistake of you to write "quarry" instead of "query", to then later on explain that you did it on purpose because the forum is all about correct spelling and that all topics sooner or later is full with nothing but discussions about spelling...

And then correct mangadoods topic. Rolling Eyes

The only problem in this game is the lack of random jokes. Earthbound was good for that.
Armor Guardian
mangadood actually made a topic that isn't stupid Shocked.

*Regains composure*

Eruditious your story is slightly abridged. Let me fill in the gaps with info that AFAIK is correct. Correct me if I'm wrong.

<Start of the story>
They offered to pay a hefty sum just to dump it, so they did...
<gap=1>
and then they spread the ROM and there was happiness and laughter to be heard from all around.
<gap=2>
That, boys and girls, is how we now have an official translation of a game never released over here.

Gap 1: To their disappointment, Nintendo put many "anti-piracy" measures on the cart. It appeared that whenever they tried to play it that a screen appeared saying that this way a pirated version of the game. Nintendo appeared to be very proud of the "anti-piracy" measures they put on the cart. However, some one found a way to circumvent the protection and play the ROM...

Gap 2: And it came to pass that there was much wailing and gnashing of teeth from the executives from Nintendo.

Gap 3: Come again next time to hear the tale of how the game known as Star Fox 2, which was never released, surfaced on the internet...
This is off topic, but:

Once time when I started up my copy of Super Metroid, a screen appeared that said something along the lines of it being illegal to own a copied game (Can't remember exactly, it was a few months ago)

However, the game then went on to delete all three of my saves on the cartridge, too! (Hey, it was only Super, so it was pretty easy to start all over again...)

Seeing that whole "anti-piracy" statement made me think of it...

Ready and willing.
Bad cartridge connection. I've seen that on Tetris Attack. Also, it might not be the piracy thing that nuked your saves (as after all, if it really was a pirated cartridge you wouldn't GET to the point where you can save data unless you got rid of the thing)... it's probably the cart's battery running down.
Yeah, I gotta be careful around my SNES now: (Woah, about 12 years old I think  Shocked ) If you barely bump it sometimes the data is erased/the game crashes (Or something to that effect)

The exact same thing happened when my brother hit the cart. I also have to be EXTREMELY careful around my snes. My FF6 recordcept erasing and the game kept crashing.
