With the lack of topics here it would seem that people don't but I know better.

Because my parents laid a guilt trip on me, I didn't bring any of my consoles with me to college (no Metroid Prime Crying or Very sad ) so I've been forced to play PC games. Not that it's bad or boring or anything, but I have my preferences.

Anyway, what's everyone playing on PC when they aren't console gaming?  I tend to play whatever's new but I keep going back to Return to Castle Wolfenstein online multiplayer and GTA3 & GTA:VC keep me busy often.  I play some CS once in a while but I'm a n00b so it sucks.

Most recently I've gotten into Knights of the Old Republic, which should keep my weekends busy for a couple months.
Thread title:
I'm a console gamer for life.  I haven't played one PC game that's kept me interested, besides importing Phantasy Star Online a couple years ago, and it's really just a console game ported to PC so not sure if that counts or not.  PC games just lack something that I like, but I can't quite put my finger on what it is.
one of my few exceptions to my "games only on game systems" de facto policy is the civilization series for mac and windows. good stuff.
I play counter-strike and warcraft III TFT
Starcraft.  I like FPS games better on PC as well.

RoboBlob:  What Blizz server?  We should play sometime... if I can fix my hard drive.
I mainly play PC games that have a possibility of running on this horrendous system....
which means some OLD RTS's, but mainly a lot of strategy games.

RollerCoaster Tycoon is something that I still enjoy every now and then, its really cheap these days as well, I suggest you pick it up if you like "god games"
which is where i mention the Sim-titles, Civiliization and the like. fun, engrossing games.  HUGE time wasters.

Diablo II is something that I know quite a few people around here play, I used to play it almost religiously as well.  I finally stopped playing after 2.5 years, which is a good thing I guess.  Still, its a huge time waster and it eventually takes over your life.  I'm sure some others can agree with me.

I also find a bunch of old puzzle/freeware games to play on PC, top-down shooters are one of my faves, so thats why I play things like NOIZ (see the ikaruga thread).

I would probably play Battlefield 1942 if this computer could run it,, sadly, it can't.  Theres actually a decent amount of computer games that I am interested in, but I just don't have the processing power to play them.

However, when i get my new computer ... which is happening very shortly...  Twisted Evil
Ahh! Fausts avatar and sig picture have exploded, leaving just a shower of blood sprayed on my screen! Shocked

Ah, PC games. I couldn't bring my gaming-class PC with me to college, so I have to make do with my laptop which would be gaming class except for a terrible graphics card. As for what games I play, I usually don't these days. I used to, and may continue to some day in the future, play mainly RPGs. Not the online kind, either. I stuck to the single player affairs. (I made an exception for Diablo II, but even then I rarely played online).

Other than that, there were a coulpe of first person shooters I liked (mainly Unreal Tournament and Unreal Tournament 2003). At one point I even got good at aiming with my laptops track pad, or at least as good as I was with a proper mouse anyway, which probably isn't saying a lot.

Very occasionally, I'll indulge in a god game or RTS. I used to love the Sim City series, and I still love Rollercoaster Tycoon (to a degree). Most of the time, though, I shy away from games that require stratagy and planning, as I'm aweful at both and that can sometimes spoil the fun.

Ditto, sans the PSO part. Of course, I play PC games, just not commercial games. There's some GREAT shareware and freeware out there.

It's from the Metroid Prime intro/credits screen, slightly modified of course.  Wink
Not impossible
just highly unlikely
I rarely play PC games, if ever. Simply something about computer gaming that absolutely turns me off.

I second that, tyrian is a great game. Probably the best side-scrolling (more upscrolling) shoot em up ever made.

Just so you know, that really isn't freeware, but "abandonware", which is really jusy piracy from companies that no longer exist.

The guy's also a *****, but I'm not going into that.

Wow, I thought that would end up being censored. What's a good metroid word starting with J?

Ass isn't censored, so I don't see why jackass would need to be.

Well, I thought ass was censored. Oh well. Ass ass ass ass ass.
the word ass is only considered vulgar by (extremely strict) north american standards, so to censor it would be highly inconsiderate.

Yeah Red Alert is pretty cool. But I prefer Age of Mythology. And i doubt we should call emulated games PC games. But hey i do the same. Earthbound is really good.
Earthbound was fun. FF's seem to have the most replay value for me tho. That and Bahamut Lagoon - When u beat Bahamut Lagoon you get to replay it keeping all your levels and equipment.

I mainly replay cause of a bonus level that has L99 creatures! I SOO wanna beat them!
I play Starcraft all the time, very fun game...surprised I'm still playing it after all these years...That's all the PC gaming I do..
