Thread title:
red chamber dream
oh yeah i forgot that was on tonight ... guess i'll report back in a bit
One shall stand, one shall ball.
That was a pretty solid first episode. Didn't have much in terms of expectations going in but I'm definitely looking forward to more of it now.
This episode, man...
Poor Mike. I wonder if he'll get off the hook for this one. RIP Mattie.
One shall stand, one shall ball.
MORE LIKE BETTER CALL MIKE!

I don't really see why he wouldn't, cop finds out you killed a cop they just kill you.

I'm guessing he's gonna get off on self-defense given that they did try to murder him. IIRC Gomez mentioned him causing some big stir at PPD due to the whole case.
Not impossible
just highly unlikely
This fucking show, man. So good.

Just got caught up. I wasn't honestly expecting it to match Breaking Bad in quality but holy shit if it doesn't come close.

I'm guessing he'll never go through the process, as we already know how he deals with problems.
Almost happy
After the last episode I don't really think it can be, but I'd love it if the show was submitted for awards as a comedy and Jonathan Banks gets to have his monolog shown on a reel in tandem with the cast of Modern Family and Big Bang Theory.

This show has been way way better than I though it was going to be. If it can increase in quality for a season or two like Breaking Bad did it could become legitimately great. That said it's slightly troubling that the best episode so far is the one that is least like the show in general, and spends the least time with its main character. And that's not a knock at all on the show up to that point (which has been very good) or Odenkirk (who has been great), but damn that last episode felt like I was watching Breaking Bad again and Banks is amazing.

Oh, and I just found out that they are doing an insider podcast for this show so I'll be plowing through that because the one for BB was great.
Give it a bit. Saul hasn't even started breaking the law yet.

Uh, what? He's already done it at least twice.
And that's just as a lawyer. His "Slippy Jim" days had even more offenses.
I agree that he's definitely putting an effort into being a law abiding citizen right now, but he's no angel.  He seems to be doing a lot better than he did in his past though.

Because taking bribes, money laundering, pulling scams, passing a toll booth without paying stickers, copyright infringement, breaking NDAs, pickpocketing, and breaking/entering are all completely legal :P
One shall stand, one shall ball.
Hey he was only an accessory to the pickpocketing!
Back in action, folks!

I love how Ken and that one cop from Breaking Bad made an appearance in this episode. Awesome stuff, Vince.

One shall stand, one shall ball.
Hahaha god I will never get tired of that douche getting owned

Also, for real, shoutout to the sickest of hummers. What a glorious machine.
Apparently they want to make this five seasons? Seems bizarre to go into BB territory or even beyond that, but they'd need some giant detours to stretch this prequel transformation story for that long.
I'm more worried about Mike's or Chuck's actors dying more so than the writers being able to stretch the story out.
One shall stand, one shall ball.
God Chuck is just the biggest piece of shit.
I don't know who's worse - Chuck with his passive aggressive bullshit and fake disease or Jimmy with his utter disregard for staying out of trouble.
One shall stand, one shall ball.
It's Chuck. Jimmy's at least honest about being a fucker. Chuck actively tried to drive Jimmy out of a profession he worked to get into, all but put the blame on someone else for keeping him down while convincing him flounder in public defender trash cases, and then swooping in to snake the Sandpiper case from him. And here he basically admits to extortion but won't own it because it would be admitting that this moral high ground is just a little pile of dirt he scooped together and stood on.

All of this, of course, is done while Jimmy is doing everything he can to be supportive and to take care of Chuck. Maybe I've just have met too many "Chucks" or something but god his bullshit actually makes me angry. He's the worst.
One shall stand, one shall ball.
Motherfucker sits with you all night to make sure you're okay and all they get is a WELL NICE JOB BEING LATE FOR WORK FUCKBOY!

Eat a load of dicks, Chuck.
So, how much you wanna bet Mike is gonna fuck Hector's ass up like crazy for threatening his family?
One shall stand, one shall ball.
That strikes me as an incredibly dumb thing to do and Mike is certainly not dumb.
