any tips to  make this a little easier?

i havent perfected getting the missile-him-to-blue-before-he-appears thing yet, but any tips?

how much would it help?

also, one time, i made him make the hurt sounds, then the really hurt sound, but he wasnt blue....

In short, in the second phase, his shots are practically invisible in bad light. Which is my biggest/only trouble in 1% runs.

And remember to save a missile for the Core-X.

i use angled shots to still hit him and not risk walking underneath him in the sj (second) phase.

also, i found a really wierd trick:

on yakuza's first form, see the 4 vertical lines in the ground? stand directly above the leftmost one, exactly alinged on top of it.

go into morph ball, and stay on this line.

if yakuza is not directly above you and a teeny bit to the right when it breathes fire, move. if it is, stand up, aim up, and charge your beam.

shoot when it opens its mouth.

it will never be able to hit you. (only for the first phase, before the legs go byebye.

makes it a helluva lot easier :D

...or you could always watch my run and fight with it...I only take one hit, and don't get it blue before he shows up on screen.

...yeah this is just a shameless plug...deal with it  8)

I'll second that.  Someone who can beat Fusion with 1% in SS is someone we can all learn from.

Of course, Sess didn't take any hits. ;)

i just got him to core X form, but i mistimed a jump and he killed me... Crying or Very sad

In fairness, he didn't throw the hissy fit alone.  I'm still hoping he comes back sometime; not only does the eternal incompletion of the run bug completists like me, but wall jumps or none, I still want to see how he handles stuff like the secret message and the Ridley fight.
