So for just playing through the game a little bit (just getting a 0:00 NG file lol) I guess I'll say some things about it.

As far as load times are concerned they aren't different (from what I can see)

Secretkey says apparently you can buffer some movements and a charge out of save states (but apparently has some weird timing? idk)?

The Nightmare fight lags like crazy... like reaaalllyyy bad.

I have it on 3DS and the nightmare fight grinds on there, too. Not really bad, but noticeable.

hmm they may have done that intentionally in the emulator, can't imagine the wii u would choke on that

Nightmare was a problem area in VBA for the longest time too (and it still sort of is). You'd think official Nintendo emulators would perform better, but maybe not.

i meant they might have intentionally done it to recreate the feel of the original game ... nintendo likes to do weird shit like that

unless that's not in the original game lol

Well, it was certainly laggy in the original game, but they enhanced the "experience" on emu Wink

Btw the game looks surprisingly good on a flat screen!

it doesn't look as bad on the youtube video imo, but I swear the lag was worse lol. But who knows, I might be going insane.

probably feels worse when you're playing it. so weird that nintendo apparently can't make a decent gba emulator, considering they, you know, created both the original hardware and software ...

I agree. It's been a while since I've played Fusion, but that lag looked terrible compared to what I remember experiencing. At least it's just that one segment of the Nightmare fight though.

I didn't have lag on the 3DS version... but my understanding was the 3DS still had a GBA-on-a-chip in it and thus the GBA titles on the 3DS aren't actually being emulated.

at least the emulator only chokes in 1 place. the fight lags in the original too so it doesn't really surprise me that an acurrate emulator would lag there (aren't the emus that speed up all the laggy parts considered inacurrate anyway?)
