Who has conquered this game? (NES Metroid)

I haven't beat Metroid I yet *hangs head in shame*

i'veo nly played it as the Prime extra and... I ... GOT LOST!!!!

I got totally and utterly lost!!!! I had long beam, morph ball, bombs and missiles.... got so lost I couldn't find my way back!

Mother brain's room was a biatch :(
Took me 10 tries to finish.. then that blasted escape :p

I have beaten it after a lot of trouble. I had a lot of trouble with Kraid so I just went to Ridley first. When I got back to kraid I had 3 e-tanks more. The first time I got in tourian I almost died. Because I did not know how I had to open the first door. I thought that I had to kill all the metroids in order to open the door. Embarassed

And I had little trouble with mother brain and managed to kill him on my first try.

The escape was easy. on the first try, i got out with 700 left on the timer ^_^ but the MB was tough, ONLY becuase of those damn rinkas, and the fact that i ALWAYS landed in the ac...lava...whatever the heck it is made me deform the bateries in my wavebird Evil or Very Mad

I´ve beaten it....
It´s really easy with screw attack.
And the Game itself isn´t really hard.
And I could unlock the suitless Samus too Wink

I conquered this game back when it was first released...granted I was only 6 (maybe it was 7) years old but I still managed to find everything and unlock Suitless Samus. This was back when the NES came with 2 games...Mario and my dad picked this one as the 2nd :)

Only hard part in the game is when you first fight Mother Brain after you destroy those brain tanks they don't come back so it is very easy. Not to mention the flaming donuts in all of Torian.

I have only beaten it once. The second time I tried, I got killed by a metroid and I always started with 30 health and died again. Starting with 30 health and not being able to save until you die are the two main things that I can't stand about that game.

When I first played it on my NES, I could never get too far. Now though, I still play it all the time and can beat it with some ease. Once you play it about 10 million times, it gets easier and easier. Not sure how many times I've beaten it.

I beat it in a day, when I put my mind to it.

For some reason, I had a suprisingly good memory that day. I didn't need any maps, I remembered wherever I had been.

Anyways, now I'm studying Scarlet's runs to attempt my own speed run. I'll probably end up getting Screw Attack though... I'm not good enough not to get it.

I beat the game with only 150 missiles and no E-Tanks. :)

The only items.

Varia suit
High Jump Boots
Screw Attack

But I had trouble with Kraid, so I may have died 3 times. :(

Yeah, you don't really need any energy tanks to easily beat the game. You just have to know what you're doing.

I also beat Metroid 1 like this :

3 E-Tanks
190 Missiles
No Varia
No High Jump Boots
No Screw Attack.

It's harder, and gives me a challenge. :)

I am currently going for beating the game like this :

1 E-Tank
155 Missiles
No Varia
No High Jump
No Screw Attack

A lot harder.

I hope to suceed in the run. :)
