Me too.

I also never got an SP. It would have been cool to have had one in the first place, but I wasn't going to spend 100$ (and now, 80) on one just for a light (the batteries don't really matter to me...I'm perfectly happy with paying for regular AA batteries). Although, the lack of light on my GBA does bother me sometimes, but it's not too bad.

I don't think the SP was pointless, if you haven't bought a GBA the SP is a good alternative, because that light makes a difference.

By the way Superion, that may have been your first post where everything was spelt correctly. Too bad you put the word "one" in there an extra time.

Edit: So as to give this post content, I gotta say it, Scarlet really didn't even say anything mean. I've been about 100x meaner than that to like 50% of the people on this board, and not one of them cared about it. All I can come up with is that you're upset that Scarlet believes Mangadood, because you don't and you think everyone should agree with you or something... meh.

I personally like the SP much more for these reasons:

-Light.
-Batteries.
-Compact.
-Protects the screen.
-More comfortable for me, because I have really small hands.
-Buttons don't need to be pressed in more than a millimeter to send the message, which is really really nice for rapid fire; buttons also audibly click to let you know you were actually pressing it.

Probably some more, but ehh. I'll be purchasing a new SP as well as a DS within the next month, or so I plan.

I have no idea what the mangadood thing even is.  So I don't even know what people are believing or not.

SP > GBA because you can buy a red SP (like I did).

Wow, those are some good points that I don't think anyone's brought up. I hate the scratches on my GBA, even if they are small. And now that I think about it, the clicking sound the buttons make is very nice.

I think at this point the only way I would get a SP is if my normal GBA ever broke for some reason: I got rechargable batteries a few months ago for it too, so that works out for me.

From my perspective, why does it really matter which one is better than the other: They both sell well, right? It all depends on the buyer, which is kinda the same way for the consoles themselves. For me, it's a matter of what games are on each console that decide which ones to get.

That's the main reason I don't have an X-Box: For my family, there are only about 4 or so games that are exclusive to it that we want, so why pay that much for just them? (Especially when they come out on PC a few months later too 8))

Yes, for DS games... GBA games are not set up to transfer packets wirelessly... think gb to gbc (infrared), and there is no connection port on it.

They are definitely my favourite completely handheld series, but they grew a little stale with Ruby/Sapphire. The added complications and features made them not as fun anymore. Plus, the newer Pokemon look pretty dumb.
