Since I didn't discover until ten minutes ago how to change the style, I haven't had much of an opinion before now.  And, predictably, I prefer the one I'm used to, smartDark.  Brightness tends to hurt my eyes, and I'd much rather read a night-looking board than a day-looking one, if that makes sense.  Especially if I'm doing my browsing with the lights off.

if someone would be willing to help me out with this, i'd be more than happy to post it, but i think changed an image anti-aliased against black to an image anti-aliased against white may be impossible to achieve within a reasonable amount of time and have it look reasonably good (i.e. something you would want to be looking at on every single forum page).

I can't see that because my PSP is messed up, but oh well.

I think that's one of the reasons I don't like either of the other two styles. It just doesn't seem like Metroid2002 without that logo at the top of the page. And yeah, white on black/gray looks awesome.

It opened just fine with the GIMP 2.2, which is legally free to download and not a bad graphics editor to boot.  Google it, yo.

Transparent PNG, works on both black and white backgrounds equally nice. Had to use another Metroid logo though, since the one on the PSD was already too screwed up and merged with the text layer. >_> Thankfully, the numbers layer was still unmerged, so I used it as it was, and only cropped the other text. Still, it came out slightly bigger than the logo that's on right now.

Didn't make it a GIF for obvious reasons. Those used to handling graphic editing know what I'm talking about. :P

And while we're on this... :P
