I thought there was a topic like this somewhere, but I couldn't find it. Oh well. Anyway, I used SmartDark (the default); always have. I've used the other styles for a few minutes or so, but SmartDark was the first look of the forums I'd ever known, so it'll always be my favourite.

SubSilver. I have yet to find a better phpBB2 theme, and SmartDark is honestly one of the worst phpBB theme I've seen (I've practically dissed any non subsilver phpBB boards :P); none of the buttons have any certain patterns and it's just not logic, pah.

Actually, you hafe to put your eyes kind of far away from the screen, or you can't see it. I tried with my eyes close to the screen.

Yep, we can. And I did. But can't users change poll options themselves, as long they created the topic? Just use the Edit button.

definitely smartdark. i like the other styles, too, but you just can't beat white on black, even today when it's definitely overused as a stylistic statement.

i find it interesting how subred is getting owned. makes me wonder if all the subred people on the statistics haven't logged in since the mhq days (when subred was the default and there was no smartdark).

You know, I think the Metroid2002.com logo as it is in SmartDark should in some form be present on the other styles... 

But yeah, light on dark is the only way to go with forums for me.  It's definitely what I'm going for with my forums.
