Definitely didn't need 9 minutes to see all of it. Surely there's some video editing technology that can cut out the game intro and the collecting of bombs and some random missile tank for the last couple minutes. O_o

I've attached an image for people like me whose browsers crash when they try to play YouTube videos.  And you know, you could just disable the Ice Beam on the status screen.

no, just turn it off. you can enable or disable any beam you want to make various combinations. no code or hacking is necessary.

I'm using Google Chrome.  Firefox isn't working any more, and IE has various problems I don't want to deal with.

Yeah, you need a cheat code (from AR or something similar) to do that in this game.

honestly you cant disable anything on ZM in the status screen. once u collect a power its permenatly on forever. i've tried

Yes, but when a video is posted, the general feeling is that you should watch it all, to see what happens.  So, when you watch it all, and nothing happens, it seems a waste.

the cheated plasma without ice is green yes but if you just skip the ice beam (entirely possible) and play as normal you can get the plasma anyway, its just like the ice beam but white and without the ice trail, its pretty cool but you still need to go get the ice beam for the metroids.

You can't use the Plasma Beam before Tourian unless you use AR or something. It's one of the 3 secret chozo items.
