Why don't you just watch part 9 of sess's run? I'm sure somone will post a picture though. I don't know how, and I'm to lazy to figure it out.

Remember going through PYR the first time?  Right after you open the security doors, you go right, there's a room with those big snake things, if you go to the top door there's a barrier.  You have to go down, shoot the gate, and speed boost through to get to a shaft with a broken door and a non-broken one.  The non-broken one leads to the area with the barrier.  There's a missile tank right in your path as you morph through.  No way around it.

A screenshot from sess's run and 2 minutes on paint can do wonders. This is the unavoidable tank in the 1% run



I should have drawn a red circle around it

Edit: The reason he has 11 missiles is because I took the screenshot as soon as he got it but a split second before the "missile tank acquired" thing popped up.

You start with 10 missiles, and each tank adds 5. So, 15 missiles.

That damn missile tank IS INDEED AVOIDABLE!!! To the left of it is a bombable block, which you can access through the lower shaft, and bypass the missile pack there!!!! :P I'll try to get my screens now to prove it!! :D:D:D:D:D:D:D

Erm...correct me if I'm wrong, but doesn't that also open up a passage below that you immediatly fall through. I remember trying that once...

Actually, I think there's a pit block before that missile thank on the lower level. The block is for getting out easy. But I do hope DZ is right...that would be sooooooo cool.

Uhh, crap, I mistook the spot. :P The bombable block I spoke about is right beneath the missile tank, so it is indeed unavoidable... Man, and I thought I could become a community hero... Crying or Very sad *cries*

If it was that easy to avoid, someone would have found it now. Pretty much the only way to pass it would be to spark through the barrier-X. But I don't see that happening anytime soon.

DZ, I tried long ago to get around it.  It never happened.  I too thought the block under it was just to the left.
