dunno why people think this. what does "rap" mean? to me it's a verb that describes what the person on the mic is doing when performing hip hop music. also, type "rap music" into wikipedia and tell me what happens.
Well here's what I think of the two, and this is by no means what everyone thinks or should think, but just the impression I've always had:
Rap: More of a emphasis on the vocal parts of the song, but can still have a hip-hop style beat to hit. Usually the hip-hop beat is just used to make the lyrics flow better and make it more appealing to listen to. Also rap music isn't that good for dancing to, since you're more just supposed to be listening to the song talk about something/tell a story/etc.
Hip-hop: More of a emphasis on the beat, but can still have a rap-style of lyrics. The lyrics are just there to add to the beat. Hip-hop is much better for dancing to (I took a hip-hop class a few years ago) since there is a higher emphasis on the beat than the words.
Epic parody. This guy is like a new Weird Al for me. "I can do whatever I'm white" is also a good one. If you are easily offended by racist jokes then you should probably not listen to him :P
Embarrasing Fact: Power suit made by lowest bidder
Oh hey spoilers also make it really easy to stop the video from playing and downloading if you don't care for it. Requesting everyone spoil their videos from now on.
Its not like they autoplay or anything, I guess if you really hate having to scroll it can be annoying.
It's really just kind of annoying when you get towards the end of a page and it takes longer to load than should be necessary because ten or so of the posts have videos embedded. Firefox does not enjoy it. Also sometimes horrible furry art is sitting there as the preview image or whatever. >:(
Quote from Mista_Smegheneghan:
I only posted one, but I do apologise for starting it off.
Oh it started long before that post. I fully realize people will consider not embedding until near the end of this page and go back to it, but one page that can scrolled through relatively quickly will be nice :).
And say it's a youtube video so you know not to click on it if you don't want a video.
I think that should be a given if it's already in spoiler tags (what else would be there?), and you can still put ="(the song I'm listening to)" inside quotation marks so it doesn't really have to be opened to see what's hidden -unless anyone wants to. Clicking on it is up to the person reading the post.
