Hi, I was just wondering What the top ten times for this game are, and by the way Nate, Can you make a world records page for Fusion? My best time is 1:08 With 1% but I am working on another speed run and I think i will get around 1:06 or something.
Thread title:
Well Nate is on 1:03 7% atm but he's doing a new run as we speak. DaveB is down to 1:25 100% while Wazzup Dawgs (I think that's his name anyway) is @ 1:15 100%

I for oen is down to 1:37 100% using DaveB's route with 1:10 on my any% run. But that's not really official since I haven't got any proof :)

yes.

it won't be very large, though.
I just beat it again and I got 8% with 1:02.....but I don't have any proof. Can I send you a picture of it nate? Its on a regular GBA so I dont know if that will work because of lighting....and i dont have a Game Boy Player so I can't record it....oh well. So, does that make me first....worldwide?
I think there's a 55:er somewhere on the board too. But wow. What route did you use to get that time?
I didn't really follow a route....I pretty much made up my own. The 0:58 is a 1% run by wassup dawgs, but I dont know if that falls into the any% catagory. I think that the records are like this. 100%: 1:15-Wassup Dawgs. Any%: 1:02-Kridly. 1%: 0:58-Wassup Dawgs.(I think that sess will certainly surpass Wassup Dawgs on 1% though and that Nate will beat me too :( ).
My fastest time on Fusion was a 1:01 run that I did a while ago.  I can't remember the percentage, and I don't have proof of it, but it was on a GBA.  Nate can vouch for me here, because him and I were very much into speed running Fusion at the time and we discussed many things about the game.
Okay, I believe you.....so that makes me second in any% (by just one little minute too!) Thats still pretty good though!
circa, were you disappointed when you redid your any percent and got only two minutes lower? like were you expecting a lot lower than that?
I wasn't too disappointed with it.  I wanted a sub hour time, but I didn't put much effort into the run.  I had just finished watching your 1:03, and there were a few things in there that I did not know about so I just did a quick speed run shortly after and ended up with 1:01.
With all these good times my 100% 1:42 seems piddly...
I might start an any % run today.  Can't record it though. I'll try after a few runs to see how I can optimize.

Here's how I see it.  I have my 1% time, 0:58. add about a minute or so for gathering items.  Remove time for fights against Netorri, Yakuza, and Nightmare due to lots of missiles. Shave off another minute for 2 easily pulled off tricks that I didn't know about for my 1% run. (one was the p.bomb tunnel in ARC. I found it once and lost the knowledge deep in my brain somewhere during my run)

Does someone want to predict what my time will be?
/blind prediction

:57
My guess is :56, maybe :55.
I say :54  :P
impossible to say because we don't know how closely w.dawgs emulated sess in his 1% run.

Sess was up to segment 13 when I got this time. I was only 1 minute behind his time I think.
Shouldn't 1% times count for any% times as well? I mean, 1% technically is any%.
Wow, My time seems crappy with all these new ones... Ah well, 1:10 with 11% is good enough for me, I'm currently working on a run but damn that pressure, I keep messing up or running out of missiles!
Heh, and I thought I was hella fast with my 1:09 15% run.
Guess I got some practising to do :P

1% is low %..  Rolling Eyes
You seem to misunderstand. The term "any%" includes every percentage from 1% to 100%.

If you guys wanted the any% rankings to exclude times from 1% and 100%, then it would be more accurate to call them the "neither-1%-nor-100% rankings".
yeah, cal is right. need to go ahead and say nominal percent for fusion is 1% (sad as that is) if it turns out sess's methods are the fastest. unfortunately, it may be rather difficult to compare sess's and my runs, since his includes so much variable slowdown.

Yeah how come there are usually tons of slowdowns in many Fusion movies? I even get them in the *.mov files when I play them with VLC. A 9800pro should be able to handle 2d graphics :) *knows that's not how quicktime works but still*.
