VoIP will be used in Metroid Prime: Hunters.  But don't get too excited.  You will only get to chat during pre- and post-game lobbies.  I'm still pretty psyched.

Good, now I have to convince my friends to buy it (and a DS) just so that we can have free communication... (or will we get charged?)

I mean that I don't think that my friends will get it. But one question though. Will it actually be like telephone or do we have to send voice messages eachother?

It's like a phone.  Hold the X button to talk, and when you're done, let go.  They get the message in real time.

If all you want to do is just talk, then you might as well just use something like Skype; which is not only free for Skype-to-Skype communication, but communication with traditional telephones is cheap (if you want it), and there are even Skype cell phones now, so you're not restricted to your PC anymore, so much as to the availability of a wi-fi Internet connection.

Well, if you intend to actually play Metroid Prime: Hunters...  Then yeah, screw Skype!  In such a case, it obviously eats babies and stuff--and what if Skype had eaten you when you were a baby!?

But seriously, you're right.  Metroid Prime: Hunters is the only thing that'll get you into a game of Metroid Prime: Hunters; although being able to cuss out ten-year-olds when they beat you with some cheap lame-o "tactic" is certainly a nice addition ;)




EDIT:  I'd just like to note that I don't actually swear much in general, let alone cuss out ten-year-olds.

Something fun to do would be to learn several foreign languages and just start insulting people in random words or talking in one language and then quickly switching to another
