So, Omega Research has a super easy way to do the secret world... doesn't even require bomb jumping at all.

(There is also a bomb jump that is still much easier for those having trouble with the ghetto jump)

if there's a way to dash into this branch and bounce upwards onto this standable spot, then we're golden

I messed around with this for a while non-TAS and it seems like it might be too high, but then again, left SJF also seems like it's too high (when I try it), so who knows.
Yeah, I've always tried to figure out stuff to get there but never quite found a way to make it.

There's also a much easier way than currently (in my opinion) to do this horizontal bomb jump in Phendrana's Edge.
huh, that's interesting. I bet that would probably make Great Tree Hall easier too.

Because it forces you to stay morphed :(

21% PAL confirmed you can do Frost Cave secret world. I don't think anyone has done this before.
I don't know if it's faster or not, but I managed to pull off IBBF without space jump. Making it fast would be difficult mainly because the secret world itself. Loading East Atrium and Reflecting Pool Access are the hardest parts honestly. The rest is pretty easy and can be optimized.
It's not faster because you can't 1 trip mines (you actually have to 3 trip hahahaha)

What if you went insane and were to throw in the spider-shafts-skip wallcrawl that sparky's old 1:01 used? Unless I'm missing something, you could 1 trip it like that.

EDIT: I hate how taiga keeps your posts that you don't send forever.

You'd also have to get x-ray before pbs which requires floaty on tallon

Or a fucking pants on head retarded UBJ

That's to get out from the dome, you need floaty to get back out of bounds

I wouldn't be surprised if you could HBJ on the branch to get into the SW
If you could that would let you skip the ghost fight in the non-ibbf route.

Having done that UBJ on a 22% file (WITH SJB obviously) with hours of frame advancing, I can say that I don't believe it's possible without SJB in possession anyway.
What I think is indeed possible but not feasible (yet) for on-console is getting into the Life Grove SW in 21% with what itsPersonnal proposed. M177 and me looked into that before and I wouldn't be too surprised if it's at least possible in TAS (but hell no not after having done GTH inbounds in a segment attempt on f*cking console hell noooo)

EDIT: inb4 itsPersonnal starts sub hour IGT 21% TAS lol ;)
Space Jump doesn't affect your morph ball speed.

IBBF route still has other issues.  There really isn't a good time to get spirit without making a giant detour and collecting it after warrior.  If you want to get floaty for plasma, that's another large detour you have to do.  If you're using the standard IBBF route you would have to go wave-->monitor station-->workstation-->burning trail-->geo core.  In no IBBF you already end up in workstation after mines, saving a large detour.  Doing the entire wallcrawl would probably be faster, and also very difficult for a human to optimize.

If a workstation sw was found, and a way to get spirit without main pbs, this route could be more viable, although still extremely difficult and questionable.

edit:  you also can't climb ore processing currently without sj/spider so you lose even more time backtracking out the front to head back to PPC.  Actually, the metroids are probably there, you could probably do a metroid jump then.  The ore processing room layer has metroids after you scan the gate in MQA iirc.  So they would be there provided you do what sparky did in his 1:01.  Phazon Suit-->Newborn-->Central Dynamo.

I really think I should emphasize the amount of backtracking that has to be done.  Going from Newborn to Central Dynamo and Omega Research SW to Warrior, and from Warrior go all the way back to PPC is just a ridiculous amount of backtracking.  Alternately, you could try Main PBs-->Omega Research SW-->Warrior, head back to the front of the mines, then do lower mines normally.  Either way it doesn't seem worth it at all.

Did you consider the possibility of leaving mines from the front? (you'd have to hate life)

That's not an option because you need to collect spirit at some point.  You can't get it after plasma in an IBBF route because you don't have main pbs yet and can't get an expansion.  So you have to get it some time after the mines trip.  Going from front of the mines to spirit seems worse.

You can bomb jump onto one of the four poles and dash of the elevator terminal in the Phendrana/Magmoor elevator to skip the spider track to the Ice door. Seeing as how it took me about 4 tries after coming up with the idea, it can't be that hard. No video because I saved beside Frost Cave already.
This was known, but nobody had ever recorded it due to how hard it is. I would give you a friendly challenge to attempt it again
It's easy to bomb jump onto one of the poles from the top of the scan terminal but I have no idea if you can make it to the other pole with a jump.
@itspersonnal I tried for an hour and didn't get it.

@babysheegoth You told me it wasn't possible so I stopped trying >_>

@jack879 it is possible.

Just do a double bomb jump from a flat rock on the side, so much easier.
