The ps3 has really started to appeal more and more to me lately. I really enjoy how it can connect to my media libraries on my computer (If I enable sharing on my computer), and it's library is starting to get filled with some neat games that I'd really enjoy to play.

I haven't been keeping up-to-date with the whole PS3-hacking thing, but if it's still not possible to "homebrew" the ps3 it'd really be the only thing holding me back from buying one (once I have the money of course).

Ps3 "jailbreaking" is just now hitting the scene. You have to have a special USB device or a Nokia n900 right now but it is being ported to iPhone and there is a usb dongle you can buy for $5 online. The cool part is the code to make this hack has been released as open source so it probably won't be going away until they find a way to patch it out of the console.

But yeah once you do that you can play um "backup" games. It even works on the latest firmware 3.41 Not sure how the homebrew market is yet as this seriously just happened about 1-2 weeks ago.

I'll probably do it once they find a way that can be done with a standard usb stick or something that everyone would have like a Usb cable straight from computer to PS3.

I would be in front of the crowd of supporters. It looks like it is primrarily designed for singler player, though.

I played the demo of this. It was pretty cool, I liked the arcadey feel it had (it gives you a score at the end of the demo) but the melee attacks are... weird, I didn't figure them out completely. Considering I'm not a fan of the cover-based third person shooter, this seems promising.
