I like this idea. I wonder though, what everything should be documented there ? as much as possible ? Of course everything needs to be well structured.
Update speed tricks and recent discoveries that exist on the forum threads but do not have their own pages on m2k2. A recent example is like how the Ore Processing strat that is documented is slower than climbing the structure in the room with ghetto jumps.
Things like that I presume will be included in the recompilation of information.
if you provide all the necessary videos and descriptions, i'm pretty sure nate would update the site (though you'd have to wait until he's around and has time to do so)
just copying the site layout and adding cms functions so anyone privileged could update the site shouldn't be too hard. someone would have to be willing to do it and nate would have to be down with it of course
I think it would be better to just update this site. Saying to a new runner 'go to metroid2002' is a lot easier than 'google Metroid Prime Speedrunning Tricks, scroll down and select page 3, click on the 4th result from the bottom'
...or you would just link to the page? it would obviously be much more convenient to use a wiki so that people could freely contribute without having to pass the information through somebody else.
if you're not automatically logged in there, it means you need to make an account/log in on the sda forum. then refresh and you should be able to edit the kb.
the sda kb has the youtube embed plugin, so the individual tricks should really all be accompanied by embedded videos. i have no problem with people just downloading the m2k2 video, uploading it to their youtube account, and embedding it on the sda kb.
if the kb pages for a game become more exhaustive/up to date than m2k2's pages then i can add a redirect to the kb from m2k2 for that game. someone just needs to let me know. thanks.
