Unless you could do it very very very very quickly, I doubt it would be faster than completing 100% normally. Not to mention that's not allowed for a SDA run.

Unfortunately the duplicate Boost Ball seems to disappear after you go more than one room away, so if you were going to try for it from a SW, the entrance to it would need to be very near-by. :(
Right before Meta Ridley, you don't need to bomb the vent to push you sideways into the bomb slot. If you just shake the wiimote rapidly, you can get up the tube. It's not faster, but it's funny to see the morph ball do so many spring jumps so fast. :P
Right now i am in lnding site 1 on skytown.... i have managed to space jump and get lodged on the side of a drone.... the drone stops in the air and now i am floating!!! i'm slowly creeping up the side of the drone now. maybe there is a ledge at the top to walk onto?

been floating for 5 min now =)
And you guys didn't believe me, the drone does make you stick if done correctly, and AWESOME JOB MAN! if we get a SW out of this, oh man, but I fear that once you "destick" from it to stay on top, I'll start moving again And youll fall off..
Edit: please post how did you do it, I''ve only managed to stay on it a few seconds but it kept moving, it didn't stop completly. and I'm gonna try it now I have my Wii back from being grounded :P
I'm still floating, this guy is pretty tall, my arm cannon is now at the level of its spinning engine, the wii-mote is pointing off screen too.
Basically I jumped off the ship facing the drone, I timed it so that I jumped off the ship to the left and at the peak we contact, at which point I pushed and held forward. at first I thought I was going nowhere, but I noticed the ledge on the far side of the dock pixel flickering. I went into the wii menu and taped down the buttons, and walked away for 5 min, and suddenly I was at the top of the container, walked away again and now my arm cannon is obscuring ALL of the circle engine. lets hope retro made these drones have REALLY high height to prevent people jumping on them!
*edit* Crap! just as I finished posting Samus fell, but get this! She fell and CLANK, she was steping. the drone started moving and then she walked off the drone. Gonna try and record this for you now.

Awesome, I'm on the landing site and Speaking of useless glitches, I timed an SA cancell right when the drone was entering the "room" and I got pushed back and instant morphed, but I've never seen an instant morph while on 3rd person perspective, it was hell wierd.
Alright I made a Recording of this. though it fudged up halfway through the float (25 min!) samus suddenly starts sliding left, must have been a bad angle, either way, if you cn try to get it so she goes strait up, then we may stand a chance at finding a SW.
Sounds like it would be pretty hard to time this... so after over 30 minutes of holding the control stick in one direction you need to change the direction at exactly the right time?
I wonder if there's a way to do this without floating... floating is boring when used in a run.
2.) An alternate way to get the missile expansion early in Docking Hub A on Norion. I still can't get out :(
As you can see, I use a scan dash using an object that's too far out of reach to scan. Holding the joystick to the left, I tapped B to get the dash, then I released B and pressed it in again -- this time holding it until I want to get the second jump. For some reason, pressing B the second time doesn't spend the second jump. I then release and press B again to do the second jump. On this one, though, I think I sort of got a ghetto effect off the wall behind me. That was the only way I could get the distance (You can see the "floating" effect in the video).
3.) Thirdly, jumping over Ghor in Norion when you meet him in the hallway:
The invisible wall around Ghor is sticky on the other side. Unfortunately, it didn't lead to a secret world.
I can't remember if you can get the missile expansion when you first play through that area. If you can, then ignore me getting that missile expansion. If you CAN'T, then it's an early missile expansion. I forget... :|

@ point 3: If you flew to the first landing site you could get that expansion. Not to mention flying is quicker anyway...
Who tries to do breaks such as this on their first playthrough? <_<And>_>
I meant in that file, there are 3 files total, you can already played through the game 2 times and still be unable to skip cutscenes on the last file, so <_<and>_> and <_<
And who cares the point is you can't skip cutscenes in your first play through, what does breaking the game have to do with cutscenes...
Edit: never mind my "<_<and>_> and <_<" n00bishness, I know what happened to your post, only realized it after posting, some kind of bug I guess...
