Trilogy help

I'm finally making my way though the game on the Trilogy version, and I had two things I wanted to accomplish during my first run.

101% and an early Ammo Expansion.

I got the 101% requirement, and I'm trying to perform the early ammo expansion Miles did in his any% world record.

I can't find it on the main site (It's so confusing with "Early ___" and then "Without ___" as the separations.) so I'm flat out guessing that it's a BSJ from the biggest crate.

Now I've never performed one of these before so I have no idea what it should look like (there's no vid on the main site) and I can't tell the timing. Not only that I'm not even sure BSJs are still around in Trilogy.

I'd just like some help on that early Ammo Expansion.

BSJs aren't possible in the Trilogy version.

Is there any method to getting an early Ammo Expansion in Trilogy?

I hated MP2 the first time I played it because I was stuck at 50 Ammo for so damn long. Starting at 100 would make playing it a lot more manageable.

How about just any early ammo expansions?

Forget it. the first expansion is not long after you get both beams, and now that I know where it is, I should be fine.

This ain't GameFAQs, Sabata. It can take a while to get replies here, so don't double-post while you're waiting.

You can still have fun with BSJs in Trilogy -- just not in Prime 2 (or 3). The glitch still works in Prime 1.

On a side note, having played the first two Boktais a lot, I immediately got a kick out of your member title. (For the benefit of others, "ankoku", Japanese for "darkness", is what Sabata shouts every damn time he charges his gun. Django, the hero, shouts "taiyou" -- that is, "sun".)

Thanks. You should play the Patched version of the third game.

And I didn't expect a fast reply, I just did a little more research (including finding one BSJs are only available in Prime, and you get both beams almost immediately before being able to get the expansion) and found that trying to get any other expansion early would be a waste of time.

I'd have closed the thread but I don't think I can do that.

yeah, doing research is good to avoid missing stuff you figure out moments after making the topic.

it would have been good if one of the mp2wii topics was a sticky.

A "differences" topic would work, but the one that we have only goes over Prime, and not Echoes or Corruption.

well, i listed the differences in the jp version topic. i thought it would be redundant to copy/paste that on the us version topic but i was wrong.
also, there's not many differences overall compared to mp1 since the BSJ removal took away almost all the SBs of mp2 with it.
