As a few of you may already know, we (the SW team), have managed to make it into the training chamber before Flaahgra in an attempt to nab it's E-Tank to allow for a Variasless Magmoor run.

Getting into the TC early isn't a problem any more, however, we are now left with trying to get to the E-Tank with only just Morphball, SJ and Bombs.

I was hoping the SB'ers amoung you would be interested in trying to:

1). Get that tank with said items
2). Get to the bomb slot to premanently remove the birds mouth and allow us to exit easier and quicker.

I can personally make it to the lip of the slot for the tank (by SJ'ing from the bit just above the birds head), but I keep falling down. A WTBJ in the corner get's enough height it seems, but no way of adjusting the angle from there. =/

Anybody willing to try and make a Varialess Magmoor run possible?

Remember, NO SW experience is required. Just inginuiety of current abilities... Just use a 100% file to test theories.

Yea, it's the "Secret World" team. Just used it as the best way to describe the collection of dedicated Secret Worlders...
It's not too secret if you're advertising it. :x

Ready and willing.
Now, wait a minute... Doesn't it lock you in after Flaggy until you pick up the Varia? And of course, you need to fight Flaggy then respawn the room for an artifact. So, it's not like we're ever gonna be able to skip the Varia. It'd be a nifty trick if you're desperate for an energy tank, but... wait, once there you could probably get a lot more items that would help with those uber annoying ghosts. *shrug*
Some said before if you enter Sunchamber from the back for the first time, Flaahgra will be "dead" and the roomstate is the one with the ghosts and artifact. But since there is no way up from the bottom of Sun Tower without spider, you would need to grab that first, then do this:

http://www.metroid2002.com/without_super_missiles_artifact_of_wild.html

Or you could also grab supers while in phen and just go up the normal way.

I also saw someone on GF say the flower will not be there, so the artifact is hard to get. The same person said that you can reach it with a tbjm though, so if that's true, we wouldn't be screwed.

I don't have an AR of my own, so I haven't seen this stuff personally: but this is what people have said.

Well, a glitch occured when I did that.  I used Moonjump to get in back of Flaahgra, and he wasn't there, but the ghosts were.  There wasn't even Flahhgrah's flower thingy.  The ghosts could even stand on it, but I couldn't.  So, if we manage to do something like that, we could possibly make a Varialess Magmoor.

It was me who originally moojumped up the back of Suntower before Flaahgra and noted them issues. Below are the original screenshots I took:

So a Varialess suit WOULD be possible and even almost all of the Phazon in the Mines doesn't harm you if you don't have the varia since Retro never intended for you to get that far without it so never programmed any collision detection in for it! :D
what the hell?! how did you guys do that?
Action Replay.  Moonjump to be exact.  Just go to the Light Tower (Or whatever it's called...where the big Spider Ball Track is) before Flaahgra and Moonjump up, and go to Flaahgra.  You will never get the Varia Suit!

Are you unionized now?  :P
Those pics are... freaky to say the least. Really strange to see that room without a plant in it!

We're like the A-Team I suppose. A small band of rogues who walk into sheds and build fully armoured tanks from sticky back plastic and toilet roll tubes  Twisted Evil

well you can get stuck in that rock at hive mecha's place. Rather weird that it doesn't colide with you. Secondly i don't think the ghosts actually stand on it. I think the follow preprogrammed paths not stand ontop of things.
Same thing, Fractic  Laughing
ummm.... what's a moonjump? Embarassed

It's an Action Replay code for Metroid Prime that allows you to jump infinitley/make an infinintley high jump that works in first person veiw and in the Morph Ball.  It is used to achieve greater heights than normal.  Just hold the B button and you can go sailing away.  Another use of it is to get out of open rooms/get on the room ceiling.  Sometimes, a room has more than one ceiling though...

That couldn't be further from the truth. They stand on the dishes, they stand on the plant, and because they DO stand on objects (visible OR INVISIBLE), we were able to get into SW8. (Abertorum - sp?)

They stood on on invisible and solid branches and thus we discovered the entryway into SW8...
Which room is the Training Chamber? I'm not sure and I don't want to check.
You have to call them ZOIDS here at Metroid 2002.

The sad thing is few people will get how funny that actually is.
Well, as Toozin says and Kip doesn't understand: Inside jokes are the best.
