There's several different control schemes. That's one of them, yes, but not the only one. As far as thinking it sucks, if you haven't tried it, how can you claim it sucks? Perhaps it works real well. Dismissing something before you try it isn't a good thing to do.

So is praising it. It's the exact same thing except on the opposite end of the spectrum.
He was speculating that perhaps it works well..that's the same thing as saying you think it sucks..also in case someone comes in saying "yeah that is awesome", he better attack them too.
People that say "you can't say that, you haven't played/used it yet" are stupid; no one ever says "you can't say that, you haven't played/used it yet" when someone says something does not suck. It's a stupid double-standard, and it does not matter if Ely has used one or not.

Oh, sorry. Stupid misunderstanding on my part. I thought you were accusing Ely of saying "I haven't played it yet, but I think it sounds great." And yeah, I agree, it is stupid.
They had TWO at my Gamestop. You had to touch and drag yo' finger to aim. O_O;;; I think somebody screwed the controls up, because i used the r + l buttons to shoot. Plus at $150, I'll go and buy.....uh.....something else.... :?

I intend to, unless they have used it. Bashing something without trying it, though, isn't justifiable unless it has known reasons for not using it, like drugs or something. A control system, though? Hells no, you try first. I, personally, have used all the control settings, and think that the tap-to-attack one is worthless, and thought so at the time of the post, but the original poster hadn't even tried the thing and was still bashing it. That is why I posted. I wasn't praising it; I was merely saying, "Try it first. Maybe it works nicely. Maybe not." If someone praises it without trying it, I'll say, "Try it first. Maybe it sucks. Maybe not."

Actually, I prefer to keep my mind open when using new things, giving it the benefit of the doubt. It's not a double-standard; it's a very good way of making an honest opinion. Look at it this way: sucking = bad. Not sucking = not bad. Therefore not sucking = neutral or good. When you haven't used anything, you're suppose to be neutral damnit. Therefore, you're suppose to assume it does not suck.
...That control scheme is more or less worthless imo. I use the one where the D-pad and the abxy buttons are the same thing, triggers fire, and touch screen looks/jumps/morphs/changes weapons. I also found today that if you hook the pinky of the stylus hand under the system in the right way, you can use both triggers and still use the stylus semi-effectively. Hooray for killing a metroid in less than a second!
