My time was 14 minutes and I forget my % rate. How do you get Veteran? I have Hypermode so I'm guessing I need to beat that?

Yoshi is back
Ok, I'm just wonderning. I'm getting Other M for my Birthday in 2 weeks. (14 days) So this will be cool. MP3 was Like GOD to me. Now Other M is out I'm hoping to Headlock enemies and Charge beam shoot them in the face.
I like turtles.
The finishing moves are actually not as frequently used as trailers had led us to believe.
I'm starting to use the finishing moves more now that I've studied the enemie's patterns and such.
If you thought MP3 was GOD then you'd probably really like Other M.

Finishing moves and OverBlasts REALLY speed up fights.

And let's not bridge game discussions here :P This is Corruption's thread. ;)

14:04 21% Normal. (why is MP3's Mission Final screen so boring?)

Nearly 5 of those hours came from the Pirate Homeworld seed alone... And that doesn't include attempts where I turned off the game without saving afterward. Also, "mp3 is more or less the same as echoes for wallcrawling" is the most ridiculous disgusting terrible atrocious despicable lie I've ever heard. Ever.

Maybe I'll do it on Hypermode now; I doubt the tricks will be nearly as hard to repeat. Hypermode Phaaze will be an enormous pain for me though. :\

MilesSMB?  In my Metroid Prime 3?  It's more likely than you think.

Also, Dark Samus/AU 313 on Hypermode is a royal pain in the neck.
Don't expect me to ever attempt to run it. >_>
my umbrella goes directly to Bankai
the mission final screen is a reflection of the overall game.

Especially if you're going for a low% run. Either way, those final three battles are tough.

Never again... Never, ever again...

Until 19% is found, at least. Can you take your time with that, please? :(

Why do you put yourself through these things, man?

*Imagines Dark Samus and AU 313 with only one energy tank on Hypermode*

*Vomits*
Difficulty - Hypermode
Percentage complete - 62%
Total time - 05:53

I gotta say that was fricken hard. It was done on trilogy so I don't know if they upped the difficulty even more but it certainly felt harder than the original. I had to make sure I got all energy tanks as I started to realise my time on phaze (bosses included) was being put through it's paces royaly. So a little hunt for two remaining ET's was needed last minute. Even so... god daaamn!. Phaze itself was a pain in the ass. That stupid monster in the wall was impossible to repel without getting hit like you can on the easier difficulties which sets you up badly for the boring and long leviathan infant button mashing. I think the only way to have any chance against dark samus is to actually start the fight with full health, only really gotten by dying on dark samus and using the checkpoint. I'd like to know if anyones actually gone through phaze and killed dark samus and the AU unit in one take on Hypermode. Probably have but seriously, kudos !

I actually sort of like the dark samus fight once you start learning how to dodge and evade all her attacks. But as usual in these prime games it gets repetitive and dark samus starts using the long and drawn out attacks just to drag the fight on a bit more. And only staying vulnerable for shorter amounts of time compared to earlier in the fight. Costing your health. It is a good battle though, there's a lot of learning curve with it. You can either die horrendously or succeed with say 3/4 of health to spare. Even on Hypermode, which is what happened on my successful attempt.

AU unit. Pretty fun to fight also and your health stays leval throughout which makes a change. Part 2 of the fight is very cheap in places like the rolling along the ground attack. There's not much indication of it's direction and you get slammed badly by it later in the fight.

I thought you were talking about doing that with one e-tank on Hypermode at first. (As in a low% run) Because that would be down right suicidal. Through a normal run on Hypermode perhaps it could be done, but I doubt I'd be able to accomplish that unless I had a pretty high item percentage at the end. (So something like 75+ maybe) Although that's just me. Other people who are better at the game than me (Paraxade, for instance) could probably do it at a lower item count if they tried.

I've done a lot of hypermode low%s (I've never done low% on a lower difficulty actually). also look 3 posts up, Miles posted a picture of his 20% on hyper. :P
Yeah, I did a 22% hypermode a few summers back as well, but I think the question here is has anybody been able to land on Phaaze and run right to the end without dying once during a hypermode run. (So that your health isn't recharged at the checkpoint for DS and the AU, instead going in with whatever you're at the first time you get down there.) I know I haven't, although I've only done 2 or 3 hypermode runs all together at this point.
I'd say it's definately possible. If that stupid moster in that shaft can be repelled on hypermode without taking damage that would help as it takes a hefty chunk down. DS can go surprisingly swimmingly if your lucky with destroying her clones quickly and leaving her vulnerable. It really pays off in hypermode to press the fire button super duper quick. Not just quick, but quick so your hand feels like your getting early onset arthritis quick lol. Because later on in that fight she cheaply sticks to long moves and doesn't stay vulnerable for long. Would I be correct in saying hyper missiles push DS back but don't do any damage?. Also screw attack I found to be not that useful in the battle apart from when DS and her clones are in the air with the big bubbles around them. One screw attack can kill them if done correctly but I guess it's easier to stick to just beaming them.

Your health stays pretty solid throughout the AU battle, I think even slowly recovers due to the amount of frequent blue energy drops and providing you don't get hit for a long time which is pretty easy. But you got to watch out for that purple beam from the AU on hypermode. Although easy to dodge generally, it's very deadly on hypermode. It's faster and takes a shit load down if you get caught in it badly.

2nd stage AU is where things can go horribly wrong if your not careful...

It can. Mash faster. :P
No way... lol. I was I swear. I must have been really close from escaping unharmed. Then again I can't mash that A button on the remote that fast like I can say, the buttons on a nintendo ds.
rocks, locks, and invisible blocks
%23  6:48 on veteran (no i didnt skip anything you really need to beat the game just energy tanks and cells)

2:13 29% Normal. Man... That's such an incredible time. I can't believe I actually managed to that low. Parax better watch out since I'm only 4 minutes off of his run!

What? No, I definitely didn't just take Parax's save file from before the final segment of his run and complete Phaaze from there. Why would you think I'd do that? :(
