Bananas GOOD, Kremlings BAD

Now this the second time I ever beat the game. I had always been working on the "fun" stuff before. I did a couple of the speed tricks but my failed attempts and fooling around cancelled them out. Rolling Eyes

Anyway,

I never recorded it which my annoy some peeps, but oh well... My old Game time was 56% 6 hours, Now my new one is, 3 hours 100%!!! Time after time, day after day, and I did it! Now I'm going to delete the 6 hour run and now for a 1:50 Hour 100% run *gulp*

I did a hard any% SS run

I completed it in 2:24
My percentage is 40%

I had to kill Amorbis in order to grab the dark suit. I doubt that 9 e-tanks are enough to kill Quadraxis without dark suit, in hard mode without saving. Boosty is a problem too. And in order to get 9 e-tanks before quadraxis and 6 before boosty, you've to grab tanks very far from your way. I did my choice : grab the dark suit.

The last boss is very difficult in such a run. It is the hardest part in the whole run. I can beat it only once/10 battles. I flickerbatted many runs after playing during 3 hours because of that bastard Evil or Very Mad

but at least now it's done, I kicked his ass in hard without saving in any% conditions. 8)

Since the boss is so challenging, I had to accept many mistakes. The biggest mess up was in transit station, 1min30 in my face Shocked

I lost 30 secs in watch station
I missed an underwater dash in hydrodynamo
I lost 10 secs in crypt
10 in great bridge
10 in reactor core
5 in polluted mire
5 in venemous pond
8 in forgotten bridge
The noobiest mistake : 20secs in sanctuary temple because I fell :x

and other mistakes...

I think that nobody has been such unlucky with seekers door, I always missed them once

I'm overall satisfied with the run, my main goal was to complete a hard SS any% run without dying against the boss and especially emperor ing which was happening 90% of the time. Speed was the second goal.

In several runs, I did a great travel in aether without too many mistakes and the last boss killed me very quickly. Mais c'est la vie! :)

Just a question : are there people here who completed an any% SS hard without dying?

I recorded that run. :D
It's the first time I really speedrun a 100% game. The route isn't the same as Sparky's run. I grab dark suit at the end of the run, after light suit.

I'm very happy with that run but I have a little problem, picture and sound are a bit off sync. (1sec or something) :x I hope that I'll get rid of that problem.

I would have been too lazy to do another 100% SS run. I'll probably do one in hard mode but for the moment I've to put the hard SS any% and the 101% SS runs online.

Congratulations on your accomplishment SE! Now what does this mean for anyone who will in the future attempt to break the segmented 2:25 100% run? I mean, what time should he/she strive for?

In the hard SS any% run, the battle isn't very good and I'm a bit disappointed of that but in the 100% SS run, it is nearly pixel-perfect. :D

Sparky said that 2:19 was possible assoon as his run came out and I agree, it would be "easy" to complete the game in sub 2:20. I could do it but if I were to do a segmented 100% run, I would rather do it in hard mode.

Silent Echo try 22% single segment run Im say this is very interesting/impossible run.

Im play 22% run, but under water dash jump is too hard for me, Im try under water dash jump million time and couple days but this sequence break is too hard for me.

i beat the game yesterday 101% with 100% scans............. well, 99% scans since i forgot to scan the emperor's shell :o :( :p

time: 8:54 (no speed running still. i focused on scans)

i'll redo the last battle today for 100% scans. i made a new file in another memory card and i want to earn everything again.

Im say 22% ss run is more cooler when orginal metroid prime 22% ss run because Metroid prime 2 echoes most bosses is more harder and longer when orginal prime bosses. Im say Quadraxis looking impossible fight 22% game. Boost guardian take over hour my 22% run, because i am unlucky this fight. just now I have huge problem Under water area because this under water dash is impossible trick for me. Im say you really need lucky if you try and beat 22% ss run. Some future im hoping see 22%ss video in sda.

That would be impossible, and for this, i don't think that impossible is nothing, and failure would be permanent, at least for me.

I attempted a SS 22% and I died just before jump guardian, my second attempt ended against boost guardian...awww! I suck! Embarassed

Although I do seriously doubt that single seg 21% will ever be done. Oh, and good luck on single seg 22%. it's definetly something that I would never want to do or be able to do. Embarassed

I think I might have done a 22% SS on Hard about a year ago, with a clear time somewhere around 3:00-3:30. And when I say, "I might have," I mean that it was done with an approach like "Oh, I'll just play until I die," so I saved my progress every 15 minutes or so. Only thing is I don't remember dieing and I played to the end in one sitting. However, I do have a feeling that I might have died a stupid and unexpected death somewhere along the line, and then continued as normal, hence the reason why I don't remember dieing. I am quite sure that I did not die on any of the bosses, though. Actually, this run is not unlike a SS any% that I did around the same time, except I didn't die in that one. I recorded that one for curiosity’s sake and I still have that on tape, so I know that one was legit.

Honestly, I didn’t find it too difficult. The only challenging parts were the three boss fights (Boost, Quad, Empy Ing), but I had some experience with that so I made good in the end. Yeah, in the end, it’s all about the boss fights, so anybody willing to try had better put in the bulk of their time in those areas because they can get a bit random, Boost and Quadraxis in particular.
