I now have a Hard file saved around 7:30 in the Sky Temple with 46%. I am unable to beat the Emperor Ing's 3rd phase with my feeble 6 energy tanks. :(
Ouch: I know how that ones feels (Had 7 Energy Tanks on my hard run) Here's a hint for you:
Love the annihilator beam
It was the deciding factor in my attempts against him. I also had 51% there, so I can also tell somewhat how difficult this will be for you. Good Luck with that one, took me quite a bit to finally defeat him.
My last Hard Mode run (I suck, btw): 16:08, 100% items/scans
Current speed run (needs to be tweaked, I think): 1:07, 17% items/45% scans; saved after beating Amorbis.
I goofed up a lot in forgetting where exactly I was supposed to go, and that battle with the multiple Warriors hung me up a bit when I ran out of Light Ammo :(

Heh heh, Emperor Ing was massacring me even with 14 energy tanks. But he was also making me a punching bag in phase 1, and those Inglets wouldn't leave me alone in Chrysalis phase, so I took a lot of damage, eventually entering phase 3 with about 8 or so left. But here's a rather simple strategy that I found to work nicely. Just strafe (whatever it is you do by pounding B while moving and locked on that makes you jump quite a ways) while trying to avoid everything possible. When he creates the lasers, move to where they can't hit you, and unload the Annihilator until you break the shield. Then move in close to where you can just pound away for a few seconds before running away. And hope that his creature swarms drop lots of Ammo refills (try using a Darkburst if you can spare it). The only thing that he can sure-fire knock you around with is that hellish shockwave after he jumps. And his charging attack, but if you morph quickly enough, you can boost right under him ;)
Well, I still haven't beaten the game once yet. I didn't play it all today, and I hardly played it yesterday. Actually, I'm only just about finished the Bog. Hopefully I'll be able to get my time up soon, but it sounds like Emperor Ing is going to be a bitch to beat.
Man, some of you are already doing this good? I need to step it up a bit... Last I knew, I was about 1 + 1/2 hours in, and had just gotten the Supers on my latest run (Haven't played it at all today, so I can't remember exactly.) However, my run is also a low% run (Hoping to get around 30% or less ) instead of the 100% ones that seem to be popping up lately. I still have a feeling that my low % will be slower than the 100%, knowing how a lot of you run things...
Edit: Also trying to FINALLY get my 100% scans, since I seemed to miss at least one on each of my previous two runs...
I'm practically finished with a Hard mode run now...have 100% items this time, but I'm missing ONE scan! I've been keeping track of everything this time around, and have the location of all items/scans written down except this one.
Lore->Luminoth Lore->History->Golden Age Light of Aether Origins Our Heritage Paradise The Stellar Object ??????????????????
I don't know what the 6th one is, and don't want to beat Emperor Ing until I find it. If anyone knows where it is could they be so kind as to clue me in. I probably walked right past it and didn't even see it :?
Will post my time after I find the scan and complete the run.
If that's the one I think it is, it's behind the rocks on the left as you enter the area. You can't see it from the collector, so I've missed that one quite a bit too.
Normal 100% - 5:53 No Speed tricks or sequence breaking since I suck at that kind of stuff in both MPs. Also using a route that I was making up on the fly...only had to backtrack for one item I forgot about (curse you Aerial Training Site!)
I think you have 96% scans if you have everything but the final boss.
If I missed something AGAIN...
I think I got everything up to this point however: I have the guide and was using it to get what I missed: Could be a 6 instead of a 5 though: Won't be sure until the end I guess...
4:58, 100% normal used my personnal route up to Quadraxis, then I pretty much used Radix's route (modified a little to accomodate the items I took earlier and the ones i didnt) I didn't care much about my run because so many tricks were discovered (I didnt use any, did all the puzzles the long way) so all the cleanup was done in one go without restarting
I have an extra 10 minutes due to having to locate 2 missing scans... It's still my best, but the fact that once again, someone has been able to get ALL of the items in the same amount of time it takes me to do this...
