At least you guys confirmed the artifact issue. Thought I needed to start over after getting about 1/2 way through the game. I've already scanned a TON of things, and it says I only have 43% or so of my Logbook completed. 
This is not something I feel like doing again at this time.
Hmm... have to check that Electric Voldrum one: The guide would probably mention if you can find it in multiple places. The rest of the one time scans I knew about. (It seems like you only have to scan Gorea's parts once for each save game, even if you complete the game afterwards.)
We should probably make a list of the limited/one time scans in another topic somewhere, so it will be easier to locate. That's my thoughts, since the list that was in the guide that I gave you isn't too specific on things.
Edit: Finished my 100% run, having to make a few stop offs to collect some last minute scans/items.

Oh, and isn't the bronze Samus emblem for being a Super Hunter? I've seen silver ones on the Elite Hunters that I've run across.
I was beginning to wonder that myself, Yoshi. Next time I play I'm pretty much leaving scanning alone, so we should be able to find out soon enough.
