if you freezee him and shoot his arms while frozen when you move closer to him his arms will fall off and he will go into orb mode.(this works in any mode.)

sorry for not responding soon enough. and not making a second vid...i'll do that some time i fix the cammera quality.

Whoohoo! My fingers hurt a bit now but I managed to get a nice

1:56:34 (20%)  :D

I'll begin with a new speedrun immediatly because I made for like 3 or 4 minutes worth of mistakes.  Shocked  I messed up quite a few battles *again* (I fought 4 hunters and 3 guardians on my 3rd visit on Alinos :x ). I also messed up Celestial Archives visit 2, because I saved an extra time during my run (it's such a loooong way from arriving until escaping, it's not even fun in a speedrun).

And my worst mistake ever: I forgot to activate the warp portal on the first visit on Vesper Outpost too, so that was like 1,5 or 2 minutes that could've been easily avoided. I'm that stupid, yeah.

Well, I might try sub 1:53 or 1:52 soon.

There's no reason for me to quit as long I can beat myself. I really want to finish it and have the fealing I can't beat it again better or faster. I'm a perfectionist, and as long as I enjoy it, I will keep playing.  Wink

Nor for sub 1:55 or 1:54 in my next run, I know I can  Rolling Eyes

Nice time, Liku... I don't know how you do it. My last run was 1:52; worse than the run before that, which was 1:50. I don't know if I can beat you this time. (though I hope I can :P)

Well, it comes down to mistakes, which made my 1:46 time annoying. Because one mistake I restarted the whole level. Also, I didn't collect anything really:

Missle Expansion: 1
UA Expansion: 8
Energy Tank: 5

I belive you can easily go sub 1:30 the only thing stopping me is the boss battles. as for low percent that is truly evil.

Yeah, the Boss Battles are the most random factor, and they take the longest. But I'm working those down. Also, collecting Energy Tanks and Expansions that you don't need.

I collect the Missile Expansion in the Ice Hive to refill my ammo to do the CMJ(Charged Missile Jump) to the Judicator. The E-Tanks for the Battles and whatnot that might devistate my Health and the UA tanks so I don't run out of ammo on the bosses.

I belive i posted what percentage i got on my second run ...but during that run i picked up what ever was in my what or that it was really convenent in geting.

Time: 7:54:05 (with Gorea 2)
Complete: 75% (This is from the save before Gorea, so anything "picked up" before that fight isn't included)

SAL, have you gotten a time around 1:50 yet? If not, you don't know that it IS hard. Sub-1:30 isn't going to happen anytime soon unless some major speed tricks are discovered that save 15 minutes altogether.

Yay. My first <1:50 run!

I managed to get a 1:48:59 today. I didn't know I shaved THAT much of my time, because when I look back I just used 2 speed tricks more :? . Overall I got unlucky with the RH/E (random hunter encounter) and didn't play too concentrated. My girl was also here with me so sometimes I had to talk and play both  :x

Now, <1:47 seems simple enough actually. I might even try <1:46 or <1:45 soon.  :)

EDIT: I did the last part again and I got 1:47:50. Sub 1:47 is very close now.

EDIT 2: I decided to improve the Gorea 1 fight, and I came out with 1:47:22. It took me 3m32s to kill him.

Anyone can tell me what I'm doing wrong? I desperately want <3:00 to get my total time below 1:47:00 (This means being more than 22 seconds faster)

Hey thank you man! I appreciate that!

If I'm correct it's the sixth or seventh time I beat the game. So my guess is that if I continue improving like I did I will go 1:44:xx or at least 1:45:xx sometime soon. I won't beat Mr Potter though  Embarassed , 1:43 is a gooooood time. (Good job Mr P!)

I swear, about 90% of my deaths were to either bosses, guardians, or the other hunters. (Slench 4 especially... Evil or Very Mad)

Anyway, this was only my 4th run through the game, and I didn't collect ANY expansions. As far as I know, this is the lowest percent we're going to get unless somebody can skip an item, skip something we must scan, or find a way through the game without collecting ANY health/ammo powerups along the way. (Heh, good luck with THAT one... Wink)

I've been attempting that off and on, and am still stuck at Slench 2+escape (beating Slench and Trace and the three Guardians with 99 health all without collecting any energy is really, really hard).
