You can use the ghetto screw attack to go through Nightmare's arms without taking damage. Like I put in the video, the missiles and powerbombs are to be ignored because those are leftover from cheating. Please note that I didn't use any cheat codes during so it's very possible under normal circumstances.

Thread title:
lolz.
Why'd you lol? It makes his final form easier to dodge. I didn't see it in Boss Tricks.......
That lol I posted was a link, you know.
I stand by what I said. It should be labeled as a boss trick. FYI, the way that guy did it was different. He wasn't using it against its final form to make it easier. Edit: Or even better, a 1% trick because I know people that would praise god to make Nightmare ANY easier.

The topic mentioning using it against his arms in the final form is buried so I hardly expect you to have found it, but yes, many many people praised the person for telling them about it. Congrats for finding it out yourself, though.

I being one of those that tend to keep charging constantly didn't even realize the arms could hit you in the first place. :^P
I never said I was the one that first discovered it, because I didn't figure I did. I'm only saying, it should be labeled as a 1% technique. The way they have it up, it's more of a novelty trick than an actual technique.

oh oops, my bad. I think it should belong to boss tricks, personally (and if someone can get an optimal Ridley fight, that can go up there, too). I think Yakuza's trick is already in there, alongside double Core-X shot.

EDIT: oh crap, I forgot about that second Yakuza trick! Bio, do you use that one?
The video that's on the list is simply him going through the first form, which is almost useless against its laser beams. However, against its final form, particularily on 1% runs, it's a god send being able to reduce the amount of Nightmare you have to avoid.
I like Big Butts and I can not lie

Yes he does
What trick?

And I have a strategy for ridley (that always works for me), although I think it might be too hard for most people to use.

Is the Ridley stratagy the one where you constantly space jump in the top-left/top-right corner so that you don't get hit and launch charge beams using R?
Yes, top-left

And no, I dont use the yakuza trick in my 1% ss.
