Super Metroid.
Haven't tested it on a ROM, just glanced at the IPS real fast... but it looks like it's going to make it impossible to load a game as a side effect. Have you tested loading saved games?

Yes, I know. :P


Yeah, I've just tried it and you die just after the load.  If one would like to give it a serious play savestates would be the way to go.  In play, you can't dash, holding the run button I notice.

Bloodsonic's bluesuit patch to the rescue!!  Just switch speedbooster with screw attack and then apply the patch.  Shinespark anywhere!!  grin new  grin new

I did some little run with this hack.
I find that it is impossible to beat this hack (unless you do the early tourian break in) because you couldn't get the ice beam since you can't run and speedbooster is useless. The farthest you can get is in the room before you meet the water snake boss or whatever (this is where I stop recording too).

My emulator is Snes9x v1.43 + v15.3. You should able to play it with improvement 9.

I still haven't figured out what this does, other than no running. The save state and loading worked fine, but just no running. What is the full demonic purpose of this?

There is a difference between loading a game and loading a savestate.

Also, that's all the hack does. Disables the run button. Not disable running, but disable the run button itself, so you can't even use the x-ray scope.
