Virginia was Samus's mother's name...  Hence Virginia II...  did you see that  Inside the Actors' Stusio with the voice-actors of the Simpsons?  Lisa was asked why her cat was named Snowball II.  She said: 

I have a poem about that...

I had a cat named Snowball.

Mom said he was sleeping. 
She lied, she lied.

Yeah, that was it!  In a recent episode some random celebrity ran over Snowball II, so I guess it's Snowball III now.  Her poem for II was something like

1 head + 1 tail + 4 legs + 9 lives = 1 very special cat

1 cat - 9 lives = 1 sad little girl

Not as catchy, but I guess it was on short notice.

Since when did Samus have a mother?  I thought they'd just  never tell anyone... is it just new information?  I would like to know where some of you people find all these really neat information!  And by the way...i dont really know much about the simpsons 'cept the mom is marge homer is dad bart and lisa are the kids and flanders sucks

Um, well, everyone has a mother, or did at some point.  except clones.  Clones do not have mothers. 

About the name:  it was from the official canon e-manga.  I don't know where the original version is, I went there and now I can't remember.  Look around in the purple energy things thread in Multiple Metroid to find that.  It's in Japanese, but it's semi-animated with sound effects and some music at times, so it's really cool.  The translated version is at New Tourian.com.  Only that isn't animated.  Remember to read manga style.

I mispredicted (If mispredicted is a word, and even if it isn't) what the poplular response would be.  It hadn't dawned on me that people would actually know that you weren't seriously posting like that, you were just using a program.  I mean, I was picturing you going into some random thread and saying

Or something like that.  If people hadn't seen this thread, they would think you were being serious.  But people here know that you aren't, so it's funny.  Anyway.
