Hey, some people are getting this game tomorrow, and I'm not going to get it till around the 25th, and I want to be spoiled. Just post here about any plot twists, or weird things that nobody expected, or....just anything that we don't know yet.
Thread title:
Samus dies at the end.

(sorry, couldn't resist)

And one of the Space Pirates is a nercophiliac. I'll leave it at that.
What luck, there's french fry stuck in my beard.
Ish.

You want actual spoilers?  Someone posted the final boss over at GameFaqs.

I'd like to see video proof of that XD
Quote:
You fight Dark Samus after killing the Dark Luminoth Sentinel and as you beat Dark Samus, Metroid Prime is reborn.

You see Dark Samus was an incubator to Metroid Prime and 'she' thought the real Samus was a threat to 'her' child, hence fighting her all the time. Dark Samus was absorbing meanwhile Phazon to feed her 'child'

OK, whent he child is born, a massive conflict takes place. As Dark Samus dies, Space Pirates and Ing bust in from either sides of the room and fight all around ignoring Samus and Dark Samus. They are fighting over the new Metroid baby. The Ing end up winning but barely and the Ing Commander manages to stumble over to the Metroid and possess it.

Then it becomes Dark Metroid Prime!!!!

Does this make me mean?
I've read that, but I don't really beleive it. It would be really cool if it was true though. The only person over there I beleive is "theothersteve" cause he's got proof.
The last boss is:

The Chupachabra from Channel 51!  :D

It's interesting how Retro has managed to draw the focus of Metroid games away from Metroids with the whole, Metroid Prime not really being a metroid (where's the energy syphoning from bioenergy sources?) and MP2 concerned more with Aether's civil war than anything having to do with metroids, or even the Chozo for that matter.

Not that I'm complaining because the storyline for Echoes at least serves to flesh out the metroid universe if in fact it does manage to ignore the fact that it bears the name 'Metroid'.  I guess I can't pass final judgement until I've played it though.
Er... Fusion? :x
And Prime had more actual metroids then any other game apart from Metroid 2.
There's only so much story you can make about jellyfish before it starts to become boring...
Oh, and since Prime spew out phazon, the Pirates were indirectly using Metroids for power. :P
Good points.  What the hell's up with the lack of metroids?  In SM, there were what, maybe 8 or 9?  Damn, Nintendo, hook me up with some 'troids.
Now, I agree that a game with a major enemy as the  game title should have that enemy at least mentioned quite a lot, prime did this, what I liked about prime was that the metroids were fun to beat...  Now metroid Zero mission...  Those metroids were real buggers...  Sometimes when you lay a  bomb they pop away like a centimeter so you don't have time to ice them.  And I just overall dislike how annoying the metroids are...  And you Have to agree, it's like...  There is no other option than agreement...

Retro wasn't involved with Fusion at all, that's why it had a lot to do witrh Metroids.

Umm... fission metroids, anyone? Damn annoying little gunships, can really only be killed with power bombs...
But now you can't tell me they didn't add excitement...  eh, eh?

Yeah, but they're really easy to just avoid.
I think what Prime is trying to hint at is the true origin of the Metroids. The Chozo haven't been telling us the full story ;)
What luck, there's french fry stuck in my beard.
I've found Metroids in MP2, and they're called "Tallon Metroid"s when scanned.  And they're red for some reason.
Anybody seen the players guide in stores? I'de really like to know if the one is lying about the last boss.
red chamber dream
I saw it in GameStop today, but I was stupid and didn't look at it! I will probably buy it on Thursday though.
Here is a list of all the bosses, in order:

  **SPOILERS**

Dark Splinter Alpha.

Bomb Gaurdian.

Jump Gaurdian.

Dark Samus. (First Time)

Amorbis.

Boost Gaurdian.

Alpha Blogg.

Grapple Gaurdian.

Chykka. (Larva and Adult)

Spider Gaurdian.

Power Bomb Gaurdian.

Dark Samus. (Second Time)

Quadraxis.

Emperor Ing.

Dark Samus. (Final Time)

I got that list from gamefaqs, but quite a few people that say they have the players guide agree that those are the actual bosses. They also say that the Emporer Ing battle and the final Dark Samus battle take place right after eachother, without a break.
Hey Kridly, I can personally confirm all of those in that order except that the first one,
Dark Splinter Alph
isn't counted as an "real boss" in the players guide. I got the guide obviously, so, since this is the spoiler page, here are all the secrets (please don't hate me, I mean, they're in spoiler tags after all). :)

Weapons (not counting the charge shots of each):

Light:
- Light Beam- White hot and effective vs Dark creatures, it can sometimes cause an enemy to catch fire.
- Sunburst- Missile combo for Light Beam, Slow moving shot that explodes in flames to hit multiple enemies and catch the enemies and the surrounding landscape on fire. Requires 5 missiles and 30 Light Beam Ammo.

Dark:
- Dark Beam- Can freeze enemies and effective vs light creatures, it has a slight lock-on effect.
- DarkBurst- Slow moving shot that basically lets you shoot a black hole. Requires 5 missiles and 30 Dark Beam Ammo.

Sound:
- Annihilator Beam- Uses Light and Dark Ammo, damages most enemies equally, fast shot, automaticly lock-on, but it's charged shot is hard to use because it's slow.
- Sonic Boom- Most powerful Beam-Missile combo in game. It hits everything almost instantly, so you probably don't even need to lock on, but it eats 30 Ammo from both Dark and Light quotas plus 5 missiles.

Missile:
- Seeker Missile- can lock on to as many as 5 targets simultaneously.

Nothing else you don't already know :)
Thanks for the info. Too bad there isn't an unlockable RoS or even SM.......Maybe means they are thinking about remaking RoS or something.....
