Well I finished this a few days ago (I did this as a break from a TAS I'm making.) and I thought that I'd put it up here so that people could actually see my route and give me some pointers on how I could fix it up a bit, the time is 1:13 with 43%.
Now this DOES use save-states but it was played in real time and save-states were only used if I made a major mistake or died (and yes I don't count missing the Mockball once a huge mistake)
I also used the RAM watch tool in SNES9X so that I could see how long I was playing and how much health the bosses had.
Oh one more thing, the emulator used was SNES9X Re-recording 1.51 v6 svn113 and I used a NTSC ROM to play it. (I don't know if [!] means headered or not so find a rom with [!] in it if you don't have one.)
Well feel free to download the smv and give any kind of helpful criticism.
