I recently bought an 8.9" Eee PC 900HD netbook for only 238 us dollar (plus 23 dollars tax, 8 dollars recycle tax, and 5 dollars shipping) Here's a snapshot of my netbook desktop (I have already upgraded from pre-loaded xp to vista).

So far, I'm happy with it. I bought it mainly for college. It has 900 mhz celeron m processor (the online description says it's intel atom, but I got celeron instead), it comes with 512 mb ram (it is now upgraded to 2 gb), it has 160 gb hard drive's capacity and it can last 2h 33m of battery life at the max. I bought it from walmart and this is a lowest deal I ever found.

I found it in Orioto's deviantArt gallery. Look through it to find the pic I used for my desktop, there's a Metroid one in there somewhere, too!
