I had to complete all section in Microtype everyday just for my grade on each lesson (that's includes keyboard mastery, improve technique, and the rest of the section). At least, I can type faster than my other classmate. I only got 10 minutes to complete this lesson everyday.

Icons on a school desktop?  Madness.  We weren't allowed to have those at my school, even if we knew the right directories.

On your school computer, you not allowed to have an icon? Although the school blocked most of the software from being install, I was still able to install firefox on that computer. School's web filter blocked way too much. I tried to visit mk2k on school's computer and it was blocked, categorized as a "game", although this isn't a place to play game here except hack/fan game.

That looks like a really lame program.

It's sucks, isn't it? I have to do this everyday until I got bored to death.

Sorry, but you officially fail this thread if only for the fact that you're still using IE6. If anything, try to save your dignity and get IE7, or completely redeem yourself and get either Opera, Firefox or Safari.

Websites such as my own only show up completely on IE for the full visual experience. On FireFox, backgrounds don't show up, and on Safari, nothing but the text and banner show up; the rest is white dullness. I don't know about Opera, but I think my phone runs on it. Not sure.

IE7 wouldn't hurt, but I have no issue with my current Internet program.

You fail even worse for designing your website to only show up completely on IE.

Can't you just uninstall firefox/opera and then reinstall it again?

I don't think the browser is the problem.
Yo.

I'd imagine you have it the other way around. Internet Explorer is a problem in my definition. pwuh

(Points to me for being a semi-hypocrite. I'm currently resisting the temptation to install Firefox on each and every college computer I use, although IE7 is quite bearable. =P)
I hate internet explorer. That's why I use either firefox or opera.

I don't have Safari, Opera, or FireFox. I tested on different computers with those browsers. No luck.

And it wasn't the computer's fault, either.

My friend has FireFox and IE7 on the same computer. When I run it on FireFox, backgrounds don't show up, ever. On IE7, everything came up perfectly.

It's not the browser's fault; it's the site designer's fault for not making sure the site can be displayed accurately on all popular browsers.

think of it this way: can you control what browser every single person who visits your site will use? there's no ie anymore for anything except windows. for example i write applications that only have to run in firefox because that's what the point-of-sale system uses where i work. but a point-of-sale system and a webpage are pretty different ...

I'm fourteen, and know little CSS/HTML. I might learn it next year, though.

Or now.

I had no idea you could program which browsers could see everything...

@nate: No, I don't believe CreateMyBB allows you to do that unless it's a little tidbit you have to throw into the coding...

How do you think other websites can be properly viewed on all browsers? It's not magic.
nothing, it seems, is magic.

I remember taking a Religious Education exam when I was in my 'rebellious youth' stage.

One of the Questions was: 'Can you explain the difference between magic and miracles?'
My answer was: 'Magic is a load of old cobblers, and a miracle is something you can't do.'

Oh, to be young again.  It's nice that I kept all of my old books, so I can look back and laugh at stuff like that.

Thanks for dredging that memory up, JaggerG. Razz
