I did one of Applejack from that episode, too, but I didn't want her doing the same thing as Rarity, so I did this instead. Also, that Rarity GIF is shinier (as in, higher-quality) than mine. 3:
Pinkie is starting to grow on me. Just got off on the wrong hoof with the musical number in the pilot. None of her other songs have been played so straight. Kinda threw me off. :|

The pilot does try to hint that the song isn't really meant to be taken seriously, Twilight and Rarity at least were not terribly thrilled with the development at first.
But to be fair the pilot does have some problems in getting the tone across though, it kinda wanders all over the place in part 2. The second part seems like a different show entirely at times, actually.
Nah I can understand not liking the show, but there are people who do like the show and consider Fluttershy to be one of the worst characters while claiming Pinkie as one of the best. That is incomprehensible.
not enjoying teh show is totally allowed. I don't like how everyone seems to think all the big fans of the show thing it's literally the greatest cartoon ever created. It's very fantastic, no doubt, but yeah it does have it's flaws, and it'd be silly to expect everyone to enjoy it.
I love more the things that have come from the show rather than strictly the show itself. It's certainly my favorite cartoon yeah, but I like the community and the things they do, and the things coming from the show more than it, I think. It's very impressive the sheer amount of content this fanbase creates on a daily basis. Fan art, fan videos, fan music, fan stories, and hell, even the custom ponies can be totally badass and awesome. I'm not sure what it is about the show that drives the people to create as much content as they do.
I don't mind people not liking the show, really (that post was just a lame attempt at exaggeration to show how awesome the scene was). This guy, though, whenever it's brought up, is all like "Oh, yeah, that show. I hate that show. >:("
But yeah, the show itself reminds me very strongly of a 90s cartoon, and would've fit in pretty well in Cartoon Network's Cartoon Cartoon Fridays block. The series is a breath of fresh air for animated shows in general... Lauren Faust is just awesome that way, I guess.
sorry I haven't been posting any interesting videos or pictures here lately. I actually haven't had ANY time for anything pony related, hopefully that will change soon.
But, in other news, MLP is more popular than Terrorism.
oh yeah, when I was at Fanime I talked to a lady who I really wish I remembered her name, because she says her and a team of people are making a flash series of episodes based off the show for fun.
I'm like 95% sure they're the ones that have done those doctor whooves animation things.
