I noticed recently that for whatever reason I seem to like the unicorns off the bat more than any other kind. Twilight, Rarity, Trixie, and even Lyra. The only one I really like that isn't a unicorn is RBD of course, but I'm not sure if I'd like her as much if it wasn't for the fact that I liked her before I watched the show. (probably was just looking for an excuse to like her more once I started watching it)

ya know, since the Power Puff Girls got an anime based off them after they were canceled, I wonder if it's even slightly possible for the same thing to happen to FiM.

Fluttershy would probably pass from the "adorable + cute" zone to the "kawaii desu-ka xD" mode and be ruined forever. The other ones would probably transition well enough, but I doubt the animation style and expressions would be able to come close. Just my random thinkings.

As an aside, archery is actually pretty fun and relaxing. Totally worth trying is you ever find you have the opportunity.

when I was 10 or so my 18/19 year old friend took me to an archery range a few times. I was either really pathetic or the bow was meant for people older than me but I had the hardest time getting it pulled back nicely. I remember scoring well but that was more luck than anything else.

it'd be a lot of fun to try it again though, I doubt I'd have the same problem now.

I feel like the two primary unicorns came on pretty strong later in the season, Twilight started off a little boring and Rarity just didn't really get much time to shine until episode 14 where she took center stage. Like once the writers seemed to nail down what they wanted out of the characters they really took off and didn't look back.

Then Twilight's straight pony role got handed off to AJ, who also seemed to inherit Rarity's smaller role from early on. Unicorn bias keepin the poor Earth Pony down. Sad

Yeah it really wasn't meant for you. Likely too much resistance for a ten year old to handle.

Also you were probably really bad at it too because it's not quite as simple as it looks.

yeah tbob got it right. Can't wait to see what kind of other controversial things show up in Season 2! Racism and Religion is already covered... perhaps we'll get an episode about gay marriage?

Well, while it's debatable whether racism and religion were at all intended as subjects to be covered, I'm pretty sure anything to do with sexuality won't be, since Ms. Faust has already stated clearly that sexuality isn't going to be a thing on the show.

On Ponychan we used to get threads every other day where people would say "zomg how could they have an episode about religion, Twilight is an athiest" etc etc

That was really the only way to troll ponychan's /pony/ section and get a rise out of everyone. It seems though people got over it and mods just lock the threads now
