"Them" is often used as a non-gender specific singular pronoun.  It's not proper english, but it's commonly used, and adopted as part of the spoken and casually written language.

We noticed a problem with all the old posts, everything had gotten double spaced.  This was especially obivous in the Text Art thread but I didn't think much of it until we realized it was all posts.  A little test later and another program later to change 0a 0a back to 0d 0a, and all is well.  Once again, I'm a genius.  Twisted Evil

on the advertising front, at the very most i will allow google to show ads as graphics instead of as just text. no further advertising will appear anywhere (except maybe google ads at the top of every page of the forum).
